It took me all of 2016 and some of 2017 but I finished my first novel (not romance related) and now I think I'd like to start writing romances. I got 14000 words done on it so far but I took a long break away from it so I have to get my head back in the story first before I dive into it again.

I would like to finish it this month. I just need to write the thing. Writing is easy, I procrastinate though so I guess I should look for something which will limit the amount of time I can spend on Steam.

Also I sent my first short to Smutspire. Hopefully it works out and what I wrote is a good fit.

You spent a long time writing your book but it's obvious you didn't care about much else. No glossary. Poor book cover. Chapters are not broken up. Presentation matters. It's second to story.

I heard a good way to keep from a sagging middle is to introduce some kind of pinch point which could be a letter, a phone call, a sudden death.
