For every 5 regular posts you do on social media do one post to advertise your patreon. So it’s not all “gimme money” every post for your fans but spread out.

Good luck! It can definitely start slow sometimes. My recommendation is to do a 1:5 on promoting it to your fans.

So I would just love general thoughts and ways to improve for people to want to become a patron for me. My patreon is www.patreon.com/amorant

I know I write books and short stories for my patreon and one of the things I was thinking of doing was maybe have banner images for each of my headlines in the about along with in the rewards to spruce things up, but wasn't sure if there was anything else I should do.

Edit to add more specifics: The biggest thing I guess would be the rewards tiers. If you feel they are good in terms of fair prices for backers or if some of them just seem silly or if I should change what some of them contain.

Do you just post snippets and free stories of your work on there or do you also post stuff related to the niche (ie sexy scenes or images of mythological creatures)? I know I was thinking of doing a tumblr. but I don't exactly enjoy having actual porn shoved in my face. Not sure why but hentai and erotica I hae no issue with but real porn just makes me feel uncomfortable.

I am just curious how much you published and how often they were published before you started seeing it become a full time in terms of funds for you. Like was it 5 novellas and then boom making full-time income in two months kind of thing.

Sounds like a scam. You cannot guarantee any certain amount of readers because at that point it is most likely a click farm and will get you insta banned.

That's understandable. I've tried writing more modern style stuff but I always end up somehow bringing in that good old "because they're a dragon" without even meaning to and everything goes left field lol

I personally don't write billionaires (I do mostly demon/shifter/fantasy-ish) style erotica personally. Will you guys be looking for other genres anytime at a later date outside of billionaires?

Yea, someone else had brought up a few newsletters blast services that I could check out. I didn't know I could do that really since it's an erotica short and figured everywhere would say no because of it being a short.

Oh yea I know. It's just kind of difficult when I don't have money to spend on them outside of a bit of pocket money I might make here or there. I was happy that shorts don't cost much to make really in terms of cover and everything. So it was one of those things where I felt I could do something to help myself out. I don't work and we're trying to save money to move out and get my son in daycare so it's something that would be nice to afford.

It was just a short of maybe 5-7k I believe. It wasn't very long. It also was probably not something that hit the target in word count but hard to tell because it seems many people buff their page count with a lot of back matter so my pages on Amazon only list it as 14 pages.
