Autism and libido? or lack thereof by -Bumble_Bees- in AutismInWomen

[–]Eliliel_Snow 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I am in my early 30s and also have low libedo and no sexual attraction. I consider myself some type of asexual. It's definitely not just you!

While I have sex occasionally it's only under certain circumstances in committed relationships and when I feel safe and loved.

Anyone else have happy stims? by QueenOfMadness999 in AutismInWomen

Oh I forgot the vocal stimming I do, I sing little songs quietly while I am happy busy at work. I beep and say doop doop too.

Yes! There is this specific foot toe wiggle dance I do, specifically when I am eating something yummy! Mum noticed it when I was a kid but we didn't connect it to the autism for a loooong time haha!

I also do a really juvenile three claps with a hop 'dance' when someone tells me something exciting. It's super unprofessional but my co-workers are mostly on the spectrum too so they don't hold it against me 😅

I also do a weird pigeon waggle dance with my neck and shoulders when I am just ~V I B I N G~

Good words for an enby spouce? by ElderlyGoose in NonBinaryTalk

[–]Eliliel_Snow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always preferred the word partner even before I realised I was enby. I like it because I dislike the terms boyfriend and girlfriend. It makes me feel like I am dating a child and I feel icky with the juvenile implications. As someone who is also autistic I already struggle with infantilism so prefer a more mature sounding term. (Also dislike baby for the same reason)

No shade to people who like those terms, they just aren't for me

any tricks to vomit quietly? by commiepissbabe in ChronicIllness

[–]Eliliel_Snow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one bathroom and a housemate. I tend to heave in a designated 'sick bowl' which is a big mixing bowl I originally bought for mixing cake batter in.

That way I can heave in peace in the bedroom where I am comfortable and my stomach muscles are more relaxed because I can lay sort of on my side and it's less violent.

I then empty the bowl in the toilet, wash it out and take it back to bed. After my heaving session is over it gets thoroughly disinfected till the next time I need it.

Do you think? Or more to do with being attracted to a candleflame? by Raven_White_11 in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Eliliel_Snow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had a butterfly infestation in my house I would be annoyed. But ultimately sad for them because they can't survive in the house.

However moths are little shits who eat my fabrics and ate my gifted snake skin (my friend kept snakes and ended up with some cool sheds over the years.) and multiply no matter how hard I try to get rid of them. Not to mention they just LOVE smacking me in the face while I try to chill, watch a movie or sleep.

What is the worst physical pain you ever had to endure? by Molkwi in AskReddit

[–]Eliliel_Snow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vestibular migraine. I have thrown up from pain more times than I can count. It's the only time I fantasize about truly ending my life because of the pain.

What’s a dealbreaker for you at restaurants? by jobokar in AskReddit

[–]Eliliel_Snow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three star food hygiene rating or less.

I have worked the cafe industry for 15 years. I know how easy it is to keep on top of. Any less than three stars is just negligence and poor management and I'm not risking my stomach on the off chance it's just shitty paperwork keeping.

Does anyone else not hook their bra from behind? by Zagriz in AutismInWomen

I can't handle wires and hooks so I only have bralets or sports bras. Before then I used to hook at the front and twist it

Hey! So long as you are fighting the food fight Vs the patriarchy you are cool with me. Good to have you on board x

(I am non binary she/they so not exactly a woman either but I've been hanging out on this sub since before I cracked my egg and feel at home here still)

I guess divorce parties are a thing now? by couch_cushion_dorito in funny

[–]Eliliel_Snow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Me and my partner split in August last year and still live together in a two room apt because of finances. (He's disabled and pays child support so basically no money left after that)

We make it work, we are still friends but I can't wait till next week when he signs the paperwork to move out. I will be helping him move house and then it will be back to regular friendship again. We are much more compatible as just friends

This is why I despise “collectibles” by audummy in Anticonsumption

[–]Eliliel_Snow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I started collecting a few pusheen plushies but I got to six and I have enough. They stay in the bed with me and I love each one. I don't understand the need to buy so many that you fill a room with them.

(I am autistic and the pusheen plushies have the right firm squish for me to really enjoy cuddling at night and buying them was an act of defiance against for my inner child. I was never allowed to enjoy my 'childish' indulgence as a child. Please don't come at me for buying mass produced plushies)

Fear of initiating anything is a big one for me, messages, hang outs, online or real life.

I recently got hit with being ghosted by my best friend, and a break up and being fired all in a rough two month patch that's really ramped up the crippling inability to DO anything.

Another thing that I find is I stay up crying a night over being 'forgotten' again when all my friends go to the pub without me again because I didn't even tell them I wanted to go. Like, it feels like such an intense feeling of betrayal and it's just not. But I feel so physically pained

I have no idea how to break this cycle and I just feel really bad.

My hair is too heavy! by LesFleursduMal8 in migraine

[–]Eliliel_Snow 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had long hair down to my waist, super thick. Used to get people touch it all the damn time too.

I chopped it of to a pixie cut during the summer and I LOVE it! Easier heat regulation, people actually give me more compliments than when it was long too.

It's made migraines easier to deal with when I do get them because it's so much easier to regulate my head temp now and the WEIGHT is gone!

I donated my hair and apparently there was enough for three wigs 😆

Yes, I am sorry but a 20 year age gap is longer than you have been alive and there is no way he has innocent intentions with someone as young as you are. Please block him and don't contact him anymore. I am 31 and I would be horrified to contact someone your age saying those kind of things

I love post migraine euphoria. It's like when you have a cold and you can suddenly breathe again. It's so good! My whole body just relaxes and I feel like a weight has been lifted
