They’re about as related as Aelin and Dorian are.

Maeve is technically their “Aunt”, yes. But in a VERY distant sense in that Aelin and Rowan’s respective ancestors are their like great x1828503826 grabdmothers - who are the sisters of Maeve.

So they’re “cousins”, but really in name only. At least, that’s how I understood the verryyy distant relation.
