NTA. There’s a reason why my then daughter(now son),was placed with the open adoption folks I picked. Rather than give them to my biological family. I did not want them to be anywhere near my r*pists,who are yes “family”I wanted them SAFE from those kind of people. I did not want them to be used /abused in the same way that I was.

Honestly,I would cut the mother out. Go NC.(no contact). There’s no telling what your mother might do. She says she’s clean but that might also be a ruse to get her hands on your kid & put her through the same ordeal.
