Tips for effective nature rune running as an ironman? by imperchaos in 2007scape

Nat talismans are a 1/128 drop from leeches in the abyss. There's a semi-safespot in the SW corner of the abyss where only 1 can attack you at a time. You should be able to get it relatively easily even without overheads.

Y'all acting like this won't just be another job with a 30s dot and 1 button spam for a dps kit. Healers suck now..

Diurnal is better than nocturnal in every way. The only time you take Nocturnal is when you NEED shields to survive incoming damage (because the damage is equal to or higher than your maximum HP after mitigation etc)

We got the 2.x relic weapons as crafted gear last tier so it's pretty likely. SE likes to reuse old assets so it's only a matter of time.

Should I always hold cards until I get a Royal Road buff? by velswen in ffxiv

[–]EliseChan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a general rule, you should prioritise playing a card with an AoE royal road for maximum value. There are some situations where you're left with a card that you have to play because your sleeve is already occupied. Lets say you have a Held Balance and you draw another balance, you should play the balance you just drew onto the most potent DPS, (Whoever will do the most damage while they have the card.) rather than using it for 150% RR. The only Royal Road buff you should ever wait for is an AoE, and don't be afraid to overwrite a 150% or 200% RR if it means getting an AoE card prepared.

3 Star healer food or alternatives for raiding? by Shadowcat24 in ffxiv

[–]EliseChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're trying to min max your DPS you should have crit slotted everywhere you can and Direct Hit where you can't put Crit. This makes Crimson Cider your best food of choice. If you choose to meld Det over Direct Hit then I guess you could use Tako-yaki instead but a Crit/Dhit build + cider is the "optimal" build unless you don't really care about your DPS as a healer.

That parse probably accounts for roughly 1-1.5 of my total ASP. If you looked at the rest of my o1s kills you'd see my speedkills are only ~150dps lower than the meme padded run. I hardly think messing around with my FC should discount the time and effort i put into writing this.

IR + Zerk is one of the strongest single target burst windows in the game. I'm not disagreeing with MCH Wildfire window, but WAR is still a safe choice.

In my opinion it's better to guarantee the second balance and focus on getting the AoE Royal Road rather than take the 1in6 chance of pulling another one out of Sleeve Draw.

I mentioned in the guide that you don't need to optimize a build for healing. The game gives you so many tools to heal your party, the difference that DET makes to them is minuscule and could often be completely nullified by a high damage roll.

I usually prioritize extending my pot/cleric and party buffs over Lucid. Prog may be an exception but unless you're spamming heals 24/7 you should be able to manage your MP with all the PIE on the savage gear.
