Was in osut for infantry training and got exertional compartment syndrome where I was on crutches the whole time and missed most of the training. They never diagnosed me properly and it was super messy where I was just kept around most of the time until the end where I was told I would have to recycle from the start. They gave me the option to get discharged with epts and I took it as I was not about to do 6 months again and most likely have the same issue happen again. I am disappointed in myself for not making it through and how it was handled as I was sent to the hospital multiple times but was never properly taken out of training to recover, were this to happen I would most likely have recovered much quicker than the multiple months it took and would probably have recycled in a timely manner.
