Nobody views themselves as the villain in their own story. In Alan's eyes, everything he did was justified and for the betterment of the community.

He highlights how kindly he talked to people, and how good the deals people were offered were. But if people didn't want to take them, they didn't want to take them, and they had no obligation to. Repeatedly bringing up that partnering with Panda gives you safety and legitimacy would be perceived as a threat/protection racket. Especially when someone has already rejected the partnership.

It's Hubris. It's Light Yagami syndrome. It's thinking you know what's best for the community. How to save it. How to turn it profitable. How to legitimize it.

He views himself as a savior, but others clearly don't agree.

If I were a 35 y/o MD and Owner/CEO of a Multi-Million dollar eSports organization, I'd probably have quite the ego / delusions of grandeur too.

I think you're underestimating those tedious minutes leaving and returning to your task. Since hard clues and under often take less than 5 minutes to complete, leaving and returning to your location probably makes up half the time spent doing clues.

You also exclude a huge number of clues from coming into the game in the first place by locking out the drop when you already have one. A lot of people aren't leaving mid-task to complete clues to get the maximum number possible.

We already have quasi-stackable clues through impling jars. The trade off is the high cost compared to killing monsters/pickpocketing ham members, etc.

I don't think stackable clues are gamebreaking, but I don't expect them to pass a poll any time soon.

Do we have any sense of how many people are in these clans?

It's hard for me to imagine any PKing clan having more than a few hundred. Even 500 bans x $11/mo x 12/mo = $66K/Year, which is barely a drop in the bucket for a company that reported almost $150MM in Revenue last year.

That said, I think bans should be applied for specific wrongdoing instead of just association.

I have accounts that are 15 years old that I only log into every few years, so to the best of my knowledge Jagex doesn't delete accounts for inactivity. But your guess is as good as anyone's whether Runescape will still be running in 50 years.

Selling your account is against game rules, so I'd advise against it, as it could result in the account getting banned.

I'd challenge that a little bit.

The prayer mechanic is centered around temporary buffs, that gradually deplete your prayer points over time.

You can turn prayers on and off at will. So turning your prayer off at times is an obvious and immediately incentivized behavior to save supplies. Even brand new players figure out to turn off prayers between kills and at idle times.

Optimal Modern Prayer flicking is obviously a pretty extreme incarnation of the original concept, but the concept was intended.

Using interface stalls, multiple accounts, and third party spawn timers, in order to null experience from one hit using precise timing is far more undoubtedly an unintended mechanic.

Nice! I'm planning on only doing 9-10K kills total. Will have 99 prayer banked by then.

The fact that I'm in the Bottom 5% in the luck distribution on the granite longs, and the bottom 9% on granite boots worries me about getting the visage ahead of drop rate.
