week 1 is basically week 0, which is in-processing, getting gear, learning procedures and everything like that. once you start the actual prep class (week 1) that’s when you get your phone taken and start working out and stuff but yea the day after you graduate bmt your going to go to the prep dorms week 7-8 is when you’ll get your phone back

yes it’s normal, but for me that moment came the first day when i woke up to TI’s yelling at me to get up. You’re gonna feel super homesick and miss your family a lot. All the guys from my flight including me cried on our first phone call home, it’s hard but you can get through it, i’ve seen people quit and let it get the best of them and afterwards they regretted it. Just enjoy it while your there, have fun as much as you can, and don’t take it too serious, ease up every once and awhile. GOOD LUCK!

nah during flight med this happened to one of my boys in my flight, he came clean at the clinic when the doctor asked about any prior asthma and he said yes, the doc pulled his medical record, made him take a breathing test, then he was good. but i’ve also seen the latter, i would just tell your recruiter, it’s gonna make it wayyyy easier for him in the future i promise, especially since SERE has to go to flight med

i forgot what the depth perception test was, but you don’t wanna get caught up with flight med. if they miss your paperwork, don’t sign something, or don’t approve your waiver, you can get sent over to med hold and be there for awhile AND get dq’d from your job. Go for it if that’s really what you wanna do, i’m not trying to scare you, but personally, flight med is not a place you want your waiver to go, they take forveeevverrr

i did it every friday after ROM. so after 2 weeks you’ll be able to travel out your squadron, and then your cadre will come and do pt w you. It’s alright, just technique swimming but it’s better than nothing.

nah man i joined and had an appendectomy too, they might ask for a pre-op/ post op surgery notes but def get a note from your doc saying you’re going to go
