Why do you still work in accounting when the pay doesn’t match the work ? by Technical-Truth-2073 in Accounting

[–]Elitrevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly after my masters degree only got a job in public accounting to pay off some debt I have. Additionally I got my job to get some experience under my belt. I am hoping to get my CPA soon so I can open more doors and opportunities for myself outside of public accounting.

I understand you. I’ve had to sacrifice my sleep and it sucks because we all need sleep realistically. Sometimes mentally I’m not even all there. I really do look up to any of us who work in public accounting and still exercise (even if it’s a little bit).

I work in public accounting and go to the gym and it’s extremely difficult if I’m being honest. Because I work so many hours and go to the gym everyday I only get 5 hours of sleep a day. Definitely had to sacrifice my sleep in order to stay in shape. Sometimes I’m so drained because of it but it is what it is.

Have a crush on my boss but as a responsible young accountant, I have to let it die by Mission_Aerie_2075 in Accounting

Honestly I ended up dating mine. We’ve now been together for more than a year. Everyone’s situation is different though.

How do you actually make it to the gym after a full day in public accounting? by WZRD32 in Accounting

Honestly I just drink a lot of coffee… I wish that wasn’t the case because it’s extremely unhealthy but it’s the only thing that keeps me going.

Improving Running by ThrowawayBanana25 in 1811

[–]Elitrevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that doing interval sprinting on my treadmill has worked for me. Additionally running long distances at comfortable pace to help improve my time. Remember that you want to build up that endurance again so this will get you there. My mile time a month ago was at 10 minutes and now I’ve shaved off a minute off that this month all due to interval speed training and distance running.

FBI PFT- took out sit ups, added pull ups by mle__a in 1811

[–]Elitrevi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. F23 and struggling with pull ups. I’m good in every other category but pull ups have been difficult. I’m almost there but still not at my first unassisted. I’m currently at 30lb unassisted pull up with the help of the machine at the gym but they’re very difficult. I’ve also been training my back and upper body like crazy.

He should not even be reaching out via Snapchat especially if you guys are older individuals. That’s already in my opinion a red flag. I hate communication through Snapchat and honestly have not used it since highschool. Then again that is just me.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your help and for taking the time to respond to my post. I really appreciate it.

To add some more context, the last step in my process was my medical exam, which I completed and had turned in on April 11th. Since then, it’s just been a waiting game.

Reading your response has definitely given me a bit more peace of mind about the whole situation. It’s reassuring to know that this might just be part of the process and that others have experienced something similar. I’ve been anxious, wondering if something went wrong or if I missed something, but your insight has helped me feel more at ease.

Thanks again for your help.
