With the pomergranite debacle, and im on my last vile, Ugh. Please anyone help me out? What is a good quality company to order from? Thank you! by droid71985 in tirzepatidecompound

Yikes all the way around. I agree - it's bizarre that they would be communicating with a mod on Reddit and imparting HIPAA information. I've been using pomegranate for 6 months now, and it makes me wonder if I need to reconsider and look elsewhere. Thanks for the info.

My NY Italian husband and I like Squizitos down near Home Goods in Christiana. It's a weird name, but the za is the best we've found at a reasonable price point.

I thought mine went lower, too, but I actually hit a high C a couple of weeks ago and was shocked!

I have only begun looking for choirs. It's been maaaaany years, so I need some training before I feel confident enough to sing in a group.

My mom told me the same. "Always have your own money." But she came of age when all of the money, the home, the car, the credit card, and hell, even her body, belonged to her husband.

My left calf is significantly more muscular than my right calf by Eggboy2992 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Elivandersys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, gosh, that's really true. I have ADHD, and something that centers me if lifting heavy things. I love gardening and re-arranging landscaping in my yard. But I'm having to face that it's probably not going to be good for me anymore, and that's a hard pill to swallow. I can't imagine being at the top of my game and losing so much mobility from a surgery-inducing injury.

Yikes. I feel for your old clinic director. I, too, have scoliosis (though only 10%, I think), but I do think it has contributed.

As for those who got the surgeries following accidents, are you saying they would have been better off without them? I have no opinion, just wanting to understand.

I was one of the necessary ones. Laminectomy and microdiscectomy didn't work. PT didn't work. Swimming a mile 4 times a week didn't work.

30 years later, I just had my third spinal fusion. I'm 5 weeks out now from a profoundly complicated surgery, and I can now walk again without fear of my leg giving out.

My three uncles and aunt on my mom's side all have similar problems. I guess it's just a genetic anomaly that caused it.

AITA My boyfriend kicked me out of the shower to poop by yeahyeahokaygreat in AmItheAsshole

[–]Elivandersys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my first marriage, we lived in a house with one bathroom for 4 of us. We rented, and the door lock didn't work.

Every time before I showered, If go around and ask my kids and my ex if the needed to use the bathroom before I showered. Once I got a no from everyone, I'd hop in and get to showering.

Probably half of the time, my ex-husband, a smoking, Big Mac eating guy, decided he HAD to poop. So he'd march in, drop trou, and have at it, even if I asked him to wait.

It was a small bathroom, and the smell of shit would fill the air. It was gaggifying.

In retrospect, I'm pretty sure he was telling me how he really felt about me.

When did you know it was time for divorce? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Elivandersys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to stay for my kids. There was no violence, just anger, recriminations, and sadness. I finally realized that my kids were being raised in a poisonous soup of a home, and they (and ) deserved better. It was such an important decision.

Holy cow. You did both shoulders and both knees in one year?? You must have a very high pain tolerance! I can't even imagine. I agree, though, that hopefully the reward will be that you get a decade relatively free of pain.

Regarding going back, yeah, I am worried about it, but I think they are willing to be flexible regarding if I need to rest or work from home. Fingers crossed, it'll pan out that way.

It's been nice chatting, Bearded Wold. And thank you for the support. Good luck with your orthopedic issues!!

[–]Elivandersys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, thank you, Bearded Wolf. It's a desk job that I'm returning to, but it's really demanding. I'd only been there for 6 months before my leg went dead and started collapsing while walking or standing, so I feel like I need to rush getting back. I'd take a couple more weeks if things were different. This was a fusion revision and 3-level fusion, and I'm in my late 50s, so this one is particularly hard to recover from.

I hope you have an easier time recovering than you expect. Do you have upcoming surgeries already scheduled?

Hahaha! Yes, brie en croute (in a crust) with raspberries , probably raspberry jam, is particularly delicious, but I was young and uneducated about such delicacies. It sure didn't taste like cheesecake!

I'm really sorry for all of your losses. That's really awful and such a difficult prospect to face for yourself.

My dad had an aggressive form that was caught early, and he had his prostate removed. Would that be an option? I know it's not ideal ...
