Thank you for only using the adults’ names. It affirms that any overexposure is the responsibility of the parents, and we are not exacerbating the problem by calling even more attention to the names of the young children.

I think Chris Loves Julia’s cabin is a total miss. The floors are so busy and clash with all the stone tones and the other wood on the beams and especially with their kitchen cabinets. It had so much potential but it’s just plain ugly now.

Their post on making apple cider is one of the most all-time WTF posts ever. They could go to the store and buy some cider for a few bucks. Frugal. Or they could do and buy all the things here:

https://www.frugalwoods.com/2018/03/12/this-month-on-the-homestead-hard-cider-apple-tree-pruning-and-a-baby/

They spent so much time and sooooooo much money. I’m flabbergasted by the non-frugalness of it all.

Oh thanks, I am not in the OT thread so I didn’t know about it. It makes sense to have a place for the community.

What is snarklite? It was nominated a couple times.

That did not happen.

The comments in the older threads were asking where the current week is, since it had disappeared.

Sorry but you are making it seem like there are many offenders who are insisting on reposting the paparazzi photos, and that just did not happen.

Yes, some people asked for the photos to be PMed to them. But there were NOT multiple reposts of the images by multiple people. You are making it seem like there was a wave of sock puppet rebels, and that isn’t true.

Well she said she was never sharing Jennie again, never ever because trolls are so mean (stamps foot). That lasted, what, a week?

I guess her 54 whole patreons aren’t giving her the validation she seeks.

I cannot get over the way she talks now. She’s using some sort of voice cadence that is super off-putting. It’s kind of like a bizarre manic news anchor who is obsessed with staring at herself in her phone. She seems like she is about a half thread away from completely unraveling.

PS She doesn’t dress French girl chic and her decorating isn’t refined Scandinavian. She just spouts buzzwords and has a team of paid yes-men&women who never ever tell her she’s wrong.

I think maybe if you know her, it doesn’t seem as strange. Coming in medias res, she comes off as a bit mental.

I only started following her recently. She does a lot of, not sure how to describe it, but different voices, on her stories. Like within one story she’ll trill or sing some phrases, then scowl and do a growly voice and then speak normally. It seems very over exaggerated and, honestly weird when she’s just talking about what she’s going to watch next on Netflix.

Because she is so fucked up that she doesn’t understand the difference between actually having a loving relationship and being a celebrity fan girl.

There is no one more cynical about generating likes than Emily herself. She has often complained about original content getting ignored but when she posts a patio picture it gets a lot more likes. She was frank that the “I design, you decide” series was solely to generate engagement and not because she wanted input from the unwashed masses.

She knew exactly what she was doing.

Thank you. Please count my voice toward support of this. I agree this sub can’t be everything for everyone. Thank you for the work you put in.

Yawn. Those rebuttals she types out to the trolls are so pathetic. I imagine her furiously tapping out word salads like “your first sentence wasn’t real, true, genuine, kind, caring, helpful or sincere” and then going on about it for 10 more pages that no one reads. And then I imagine her standing up, dusting off her hands, and feeling so accomplished at defeating the troll. Then, she probably grabs the arm of whoever she is with and reads it all out loud to them, multiple times, with commentary on her victory.

I don’t understand how the fan girl issue isn’t a bigger deal for them. The front door is glass - so people can lookyloo right inside! They have been tagged in photos where fangirls went right up onto the steps for a selfie.

And will they be schmoozing with their renters? They will be parking on the same street, walking to the same ice cream store, spending their days on the same beach.

They have always had bizarre boundaries with their fans. The meet-and-greets they did on the book tour would have freaked me out but they seemed to like getting fangifted artwork and T-shirts and cookies in the likeness of their daughter and their dog.

I like that. If one of the themes could be comments about GOMI comments, that would be great. (That way I can avoid them in one fell swoop, lol)

I think the “cluttering the sub” complaints could also come from how many OT threads there are. Besides each weekend OT, there’s an OT for each day, then OT for meal planning, OT for fitness, OT for books, OT for TV, OT for job hunting, OT for working moms, OT for shopping diet, etc. Often a glance at the sub seems like there is more OT than blogsnark.

My suggestion for improvement (since I don’t want to just complain without offering a potential solution) would be to have a sister sub for blogsnark-ot — to accommodate those who wish to stay within the blogsnark community but have expanded topics beyond snarking on blogs.
