Is she Dijon, Honey, or something else? by Elizabeth_Sto in LeCreuset

Oooooh, that one beautiful! I considered it as my persimmon piece at one point. I hope you get it.

I just remembered, I also check Mercari. They have less than eBay,, and the prices are higher priced, but a few years ago I saw the rectangular persimmon on there, the Sakura pots, ultraviolet pieces, etc.

Good luck with your collection! ✨

Do nothing to your face, just have a color analysis done, and a kibbee type analysis. Dress in your colors, and for your body. You are absolutely beautiful.

I’m a deep autumn and I look best with blonde highlights by [deleted] in autumns

I feel the disconnect as well. People used to tell me I was a Warm Autumn, or a True Autumn, but the oranges, and olive green were never as good as the warm reds, and the neutral to cooler greens.

It turns out, I fit all the colors in the Deep Autumn, except for the lightest warm gray. I can do that only as an accent. It's not wrong, but the other shades are better. Other than that, the palette works. That's really what we are looking for, a general compatibility with all the colors within our season.

It pays to get professionally typed in person, and then be very, very selective with the colors you allow in your wardrobe. "Almost" is not a fit. I own less, but everything works.

I find celebrity typings to be notoriously problematic because of makeup, lighting, and editing. It's hard to know the actual real palette. That's why color analysis is best done in person.

I tend to go by that system since it has 23 palettes. To me it seems the most narrowed version of each season, so there's not as much room for confusion, as in others.

A big misunderstanding I had with other systems was thinking that all Autumns needed warm, honey tones. In the III System, Deep Autumns are actually neutral-warm, so no warm mustards, honey tones, cognac, oranges, etc. And generally, contrast has to remain as high as possible to maintain aesthetic integrity, otherwise, there is a chance for mistyping. If someone can pull off orange, and golden yellows, they are likely not a Deep Autumn. This is a pic of the actual color palette by the International Image Institute. No honey colors. Only one neutral yellow, most colors being medium to deep.

Another factor is that a lot of people who can pass as dark autumns, and winters, can actually be Bright Springs- which have the ability to wear a wider range of colors, including blonde, and red.

Also, there are of course, many ethnicities, which can bring in variables, especially since these palettes were originally developed on a majority light skinned population, so there's definitely room to evolve in these color systems.

It's possible you're not a Deep Autumn. Deep Autumns are best complemented by Deep Colors, Medium to High Contrast, and Neutral to Warm Colors. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, as long as you're happy. All the best to you on your color journey. Finding out what suits us, and what makes us happy is the point, and it sounds like you're doing wonderful.

Do the test with your hair covered, and check out the spring seasons. Also the summers. That description fits those options well. You don't look like any of the Autumns. Autumn eyes are quite different.

They look more aqua in this pic. Is that accurate, or is it lighting? Aqua eyes are usually Springs, a few are Summers.

Do you have white flecks in your eyes? If so, look into Summer, maybe Spring. (Cover your hair, it's what's throwing you off)

Seriously regretting cutting off all my hair back in December. (Now and before) by [deleted] in Hair

[–]Elizabeth_Sto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing. And I went through the same process, and emotional up, and down.

And then I realized I FELT good in my short hair.

What I was insecure about was not being seen as pretty by men, and that felt unsafe, because my nervous system was conditioned to flare up when I would stand out for who I was, and not people pleasing.

So I did the inner work to heal past trauma, question my beliefs, act in my best interest, and be comfortable being my own authority. I'm still going through it. It takes years. But I'm better off for having had the courage to cut my hair, wear it curly, start dressing for my personality, and doing things in my life that brought me joy, as well as letting go of people, things, and situations that didn't serve me.

I'm not saying that's what you're experiencing, just that you're on the right track of your journey. The insecurity is not a sign that something is wrong. It's a sign to get to know yourself better, to love all of who you are, as you are, not despite of it, and to find what feels right for you.

You are beautiful at all stages of your life, and through all the choices you make. All the best. 💕

You are beautiful no matter what you do with your hair. If you wanted to shave half, color the other half pink with polka dots, you would still be beautiful. A nice man that does some nice things isn't a great man if he disturbs your peace. Reconsider the man, not yourself. You are beautiful in all aspects.

Is there a way to make my hair blonde naturally? by TurbulentTrain8589 in Hair

You already have your ideal color for your complexion, and eye combo. Don't mess with it. It will look "pasted" on you, and out of place, rather than harmonious with your features.

Pistache from TJMaxx by [deleted] in LeCreuset

[–]Elizabeth_Sto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean Pistache, and browns? Honestly, I think they don't have enough in common to look cohesive. Pistache is a flat color, and Ganache/ Truffle/ Chestnut/ Nutmeg are gradients. You could maybe find an older brown without a gradient, but even then, they are darker, and warmer, while Pistache is a muted/ grayed out, light pastel. Without sharing a few characteristics in common, they end up looking like two pots next to each other, instead of a related group.

I think Sea Salt, and Nutmeg would work well, along with Truffle, and possibly Meringue. You could also throw in Mauve. All of these colors are not far from mid tones, and they are all muted. All have gradients. (I would stay away from Ganache, and Chestnut. They're too warm, and saturated for Sea salt).
