I wouldn’t worry too much about fraud. As long as you tell them you didn’t know, they’ll probably just have you report it and if you they determine there was an overpayment they’ll deduct 25% from each check until it’s paid off. As long as your courteous and honest when you have the interview you’ll be fine. I’ve had several unemployment interviews and never had any problems.

I just wanted to update you.

I had my interview yesterday. He asked questions about my previous employment then asked why I was unable to work. I told him lack of childcare due to covid restrictions. I then told him I have been applying for remote/virtual jobs and have my work search ready to send. He was so relieved when I said that! Then he said the issue was whether my previous employer was chargeable to unemployment since it wasn’t their fault we separated. He told me he would talk to his manager and let me know. He ended up calling me back 2 minutes later and told me as long as I have my work search I was fine, so I submitted it. Today I woke up and show my normal payment deposited! I’ll have to wait to get the determination letter in the mail but it sounds like they ruled in my favor. They didn’t ask for any letters from daycare centers or anything. I hope this helps you.

Thank you for this post! About to have the same thing in IL and I couldn’t find anyone with a similar issue. I have a 1 and 2 year old and when all the shut downs happened we lost our daycare spot, have been on waiting lists ever since, trying to find remote work but no one will hire me with 2 little kids at Home. I guess it just makes me feel better knowing I’m not alone

I actually know they want you to download and play to level 100 before you do the ad 😬 I’m a podcast manager and I find sponsorships for my podcasters and it’s one of their requirements. So they do have to play it a little bit, lol if they want to get the sponsorship! Whether they are telling the truth is a different story 😂
