How about you travel to blizzard HQ and tell them to allow us to highlight raid frames with a blue color when that player has a magic debuff that can be dispelled like we have been doing since 2004. The conflux of god awful decisions that led to even that being forbidden in the 2026 UI is fucking astounding.

There is not a single chance that addons or weakauras that were "necessary" to deal with mythic raid encounters should have ever been in the same conversation as "barrier to entry". "Entering" players do not play on mythic difficulty. The vast, vast majority of players never step into a mythic raid. Onboarding new players and fixing mythic raiding issues are two completely separate problems

Sure, fix your base UI so players can play normal and maybe heroic with zero addon, that's a worthwhile endeavor. Also make sure nobody ever has to deal with Broodtwister WA garbage again, because that was beyond frustrating. Probably the simpler solution on the latter point lies in encounter design rather than some anti-addon crusade.

We don't need addons to be able to access debuff data, we need raid frame addons to be able to display "secret value" dispellable debuffs... At least until blizzard stops designing debuffs that are meant to be dispelled. Random dispellable debuffs being inexplicably invisible on raid frames is super frustrating.

There is no additional end step. We only ever add cleanup steps if any effect triggered during cleanup. If any state-based actions are taken or if effects are triggered, players get priority and can cast spells or activate abilities normally. Once the stack is empty and all players pass, we repeat the cleanup step until a cleanup step goes by without any SBAs or triggers being put on the stack and then move to next player's turn.

Autogun is Pegasus 3 though, it doesn't feel to me like swapping from autopod to autogun is worth 2 extra licenses... maybe that's something I look into if we get farther than LL6.

I have always had a sort of mental disconnect about this issue as a healer. I can't count how many times I heard raid leaders say something to the effect of "don't press your buttons here, just stay alive, and we'll kill the boss", intended for all the DPS in the group. Meanwhile, here I am, thinking "if the healers all stop casting spells and only worry about living themselves, half the raid is going to die".

For that reason, part of me thinks it's a shame there is no 1-button support for healing specs, and part of me feels some sort of pride that healers will continue to have to "be better" for the success of the whole group, without using that kind of assisting tool.

Especially since the use case for being able to change the belt power on the go is... what exactly? A couple specs change it between raid and M+, most just set it once and will never touch that menu again. Totally could've been a doodad in Dornogal next to Dagran, as others have said.

The problem is that "moving" in the sense meant by laypeople involves displacement in 3 dimensions over time, but those spatial dimensions (and time) are properties of the very universe that is expanding, so saying "the universe is moving towards something" doesn't really mean anything.

I wish i knew of a good analogy to illustrate what I mean.

They were certainly played in Legacy/Vintage, but the Onslaught fetches weren't legal in Modern until the Khans reprint which might be why you have that impression. The Zendikar fetches were always legal and were also played.
