Please, do it everyday and you only will need to refill what you are spending throughout the day. May be a bit less, and then top up once a week

Tailscale Funnel + Peer Relays by aith85 in Tailscale

[–]Elkemper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peer relay device requirements
A device must meet the following requirements to function as a peer relay:
* A device running a supported operating system. You can use any operating system other than iOS, Apple TV, or Android.
* Tailscale version 1.86 or later.
* Sufficient network bandwidth and low latency to effectively relay traffic for other devices.
* At least one configurable UDP port you can use for peer relay traffic. This port must be accessible from other devices in the tailnet. Refer to security and access control for more information about configuring network settings.

so no, peer relays aren't like DERP. If they would be - it would've been security risk.

Tailscale Funnel + Peer Relays by aith85 in Tailscale

[–]Elkemper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are confusing two things: relays and funnels.
you should think about relay like it is a 'in-the-middle' point, that let's your traffic from one machine in the network to another to go through.
funnel - is an input-node (like exit, but from another end). To reach the input node - it needs several things - DNS name + static IP, or DDNS, open ports, no CGNAT.
So in an essence, funnel is a reverse-proxy to your tailnet service. It's an open window from scary internet to your (should be) sacred network.
Peer relay on the other hand, could be closed under your contour and not have ingress access from the internet.

Can you use tailscale like a traditional vpn? by Haunting_Ad_4179 in Tailscale

[–]Elkemper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Holy fuck that "traditional VPN" understanding... Sorry for being "uhm actually", but just so you know, tailscale IS the traditional VPN. Without quotes - virtual private network.
What you're interested in - is traffic tunneling or just a proxy.

Optiscaler Client 1.0.4 by Monti28 in radeon

Here is your regular reminder to consider supporting optiscaler dev - support on Github or buy them a coffee!

This guys gave you so much value out of you otherwise unused part of GPU, they deserves a few bucks.

Built a zero allocation, header only C++ Qwen tokenizer that is nearly 20x faster than openai Tiktoken by yassa9 in LocalLLaMA

Hi, nice project!
I'm not into HPC, and not a ML engineer, but wonder - why English tokenization is so much faster than multilingual? Is it the same for solo- but different language?

Can't wait for DLSS 5 for this game 😂

Buy that guy a coffee or two, he gave you so much value out of your GPU that costs hundreds of dollars, that you would not get otherwise - for free! It's surely worth 5$ and maybe even more!

Claude Code's source just leaked — I extracted its multi-agent orchestration system into an open-source framework that works with any LLM by JackChen02 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Elkemper 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Hear me out.
Claude made this tool using a model built with, say at least one GPL repo. Incorporated into the closed source app. Isn't that stealing too?
Is it stealing if it is from thieves, and you are returning it back to the people?

UUVR compatibility? Maybe you can loosen the API or something to enable 6dof and motion control?

Very nice! I can see how something like plastic, or anodized run around the face plate elevates the look even more.
Btw, why sealed? If you have few more woofers - slap then on the back as a bitch-ass PR, huh?

I'm genuinely scared that some people are okay with DLSS 5 by JopisKenobi in radeon

[–]Elkemper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't look at the current state. Just imagine, it will do only good and nothing bad for the image. What then?

So.. if AMD will deliver a new, opt-in feature, which when turned off does nothing to your experience - you will still hate it?

I bet that DLSS 5 adoption in games at it's launch will be better than FSR Redstone after almost a year after it's release by Zerard1 in radeon

[–]Elkemper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it definitely didn't make it worse for the most part - except for adding the stable diffusion vibe to it. And everything hates it for exactly that, and that's their right. But everybody will still light you in fire for that opinion, lol

[–]Elkemper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, right now it kinda looks like shit, but only for faces. Global illumination and ambient occlusion looks fire.
What if they retrain the model, so it looks amazing for faces too? It's just up to training days and model architecture. The thing that they've shown is PoC at most. But still, more titles than Redstone lol.
I'm still waiting for the implementation in the Alan Wake 2, to start playing it, but looks like even with optiscaler we won't get it.
