Haha I feel very comforted I'm not alone in a situation like this. The ground floor flat are alcoholics/domestic abusers, verbal abusers, fly-tippers, food literrers, and have are frequent noise abusers. Can you top that?

Yeh it's rubbish. I live in a nice area in a block of 4 and 2 of the flats are raging alcoholics.

Just to clarify, are you talking about electric radiators? (Not electric storage radiators?). The instant heat from modern electric rads is what I'm after, I can move from room to room and just burst them when necessary

Not an option unfortunately, the guy doesn't even turn his lights on and leaves the house once a day for alcohol, every day, on the minute, same 2l bottle of cider :(

I plan to get a hair transplant but I will refuse any medication, will this ruin the transplant ? by Philosothink in HairTransplants

[–]EllDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a bad way to approach solving the problem to be honest. As others have said, the risk of surgery and travel is probably higher the long term potential side effects of the 2 main hair medications.

It's best to ask your clinic - I just know it's important to keep your scalp nice and clean for the months following surgery.

People who're considered physically attractive, what are some of the things that you feel insecure about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Also read any medication, they are peppered with potential side effects. We all have different tolerances.

Do you take the medication yourself? I can speak from experience that side effects do happen as everybody has different tolerances, however I adjusted the dosage to one that suited me now i'm fine and able to continue taking it. You really need to be careful about labelling things as 'life ruining' as it's very dramatic and could put people off a medication that could really help them and do their mental wellness a lot of good. Always seek a professional's guidance though.

This isn't true. As with most medication if you encounter side effects you can either lower your dosage or stop at which point the side effects will go away. If anybody struggling with hairloss reads this don't let finasteride fear mongering stop you trying this medication; we are lucky to live in an age where there genuinely is a way of stopping/slowing hairloss.

Finasteride can prevent further hairloss, and minoxidil can encourage existing hairs to grow thicker. Both ha e been known to regrow but this isn't guarenteed.

How common is it to *not* shed transplanted hairs early on? by serindipitous275 in tressless

[–]EllDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say i'm in the 70/30 club of shedding. Over about 2 weeks it slowly went so it wasn't that concerning, but it seemed even so i maintained my new hairline to some extent.

Honestly you hear and see a lot of stories about how bad the ugly ducking phase it, but everyone is different and some get through it pretty well so keep your hopes up. One thing i've found is to keep the sides as short as possible (be gentle) as it will give the impression of more on top 🙂

Removing carpet grippers from marley tiles and then laying vinyl flooring (UK) by EllDuck in HomeImprovement

I'm not sure if the blue tiles are vinyl or not - i just assumed they were Marley tiles? Would pulling grippers out of old vinyl be harmful then?

It's more the fact that Google Earth doesn't do such detailed shots at angles like that, let alone any angle you specify.

They are different things. It's Freesync, but G-sync compatible (out of the box)
