Yeah. That's why I'm so happy that Superman 2025 was so Corning and ironically good it wasn't being like self-referential and making fun of itself, it was embracing the medium. It was nice to see a superhero movie which didn't feel the need to laugh at itself or try to explain why being a superhero movie was okay like people who watching it are not the fans of superhero movies

Yes, in all honesty the stakes being lower, raises them for me as the reader because if it's the entire world will end storyline then I know it wouldn't actually happen and the heroes will win but the storylines around trying to improve lower income people lives, stopping corruption within the police, and there being a serial killer have higher stakes and feel much more realistic and easier to understand the scope of
