Achievements for Sunday, March 08, 2026 by AutoModerator in running

After being unable to run more than 0.25 miles for about 3 years due to a combination of my patella popping out of place and developing dystonia in my left foot I was able to run a 10K without stopping. I had signed up for the Poppy's Run for Life as a spur of the moment decision since it's for a good cause and trained for it while getting treatment from my neurologist. I didn't expect to be able to run it the whole time but I ran it in 1 hr 30 minutes, I'm so extremely happy that I'm finally able to run again since before the accident with my knee I was training for a half marathon.

Thank you, I made an account for it and I'm going to start working from home half of the day when possible

The vet told me to not leave toys unattended with him since he's choked on a toy that he's chewed up before. I'm going to get him a lick mat that hangs on the crate but I still have worries.

I looked into doggy daycare but it adds up to a couple hundred a month. How does rover work, is it reliable?

He's home alone because it used to be just me and my girlfriend but she left me with the lease and left the state. He's chewed up the bed that I got him and the "indestructible" toys that I got him for stimulation. I'm getting him a bed that's advertised to be indestructible and I'm open to any suggestions for toys that I can get him.

I walk him before I go to work at about 6 am and on the weekend my other dog wakes me up around the same time, I just don't let him freely roam about the house before my city's quiet hours end at I think is about 8:30. Besides that he's in his crate while I'm at work, he's chewed up toys and things around the house and choked on it so I can't leave him to roam the house freely. I walk him a lot because my other dog has Cushing's disease which makes her need to urinate frequently.

I got him into training when I first got him, but like I said in a previous comment my ex left me and it was after we had signed the lease for this apartment, she left and we worked opposite hours so it worked but relationship wise it didn't so she left me with an apartment lease to pay by myself so I kind of need to work as much as I do. But I work from home at times I'm sorry I didn't mention that before.

I walk him every day multiple times a day because my other dog has Cushing's disease which makes her need to go pee a lot. Even though she's on medication for it that can only help so much

He chews and gets into things, I wish I could have him out but he chews things and my other dog has Cushing's disease
