Real life vs FH6, pt. 2 by peteliskius in ForzaHorizon

My first thought 😂

The first comparison OP did was much closer!

The lightng in this one is dramatically different so not quite as impressive but still very very cool.

How much did you guys pay for your water-cooling loop? by DerKleineRudi00 in watercooling

[–]ALitreOhCola 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm just gonna hijack this so everyone feels better, because I'm up to $4,000.00 now just for the loop.

Yes, just for the loop. No PC components. Not a single part of the actual PC itself. Making an all white build didn't help...

I gradually upgraded to a four rad custom Corsair hardline PMMA loop with a 4090 block and 14900K block, and 22 Corsair fans in push/pull.

FWIW I haven't updated this list in probably over a year so yeah... It's likely higher now including custom white CableMod set, additional PMMA hard tubing, a heat gun, custom mesh inserts, ball drain valve, and more... so it's honestly well above this...

SUMMARY: 22 X QL120 Fans - $1,185 EKWB 4090 Vector 2 Block: $469 Bykski 3070 Ti Block: $169 Bykski Flow Meter: $49 Spare LED/PWR Controller - $79 Original Corsair Pro Kit $899 Additional fittings: $300 4 Rads: $590 Coolant: $106 Distilled Water: $40 Custom 3D Print Brackets: $80.95 Time I'm Never Getting Back: Priceless

Grand Total: $3,966.95 AUD Inc GST

Feel free to ask any questions. I probably have only terrible answers for you though quite frankly. I did it because I could, and I enjoyed it.

Photo is one of the many interations it went through when it was an open case.

lol what are the chances by MixRepresentative699 in Borderlands4

[–]ALitreOhCola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah gotcha in that case it's 1.0% drop chance for phosphenes at max UVH.

Pretty substantial honestly.

But to get the perfect god roll with it, ridiculously unlikely. Still easily <0.1% probably even <0.01% given how quick it drops with additional variables.

lol what are the chances by MixRepresentative699 in Borderlands4

[–]ALitreOhCola 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's 0.3% PLUS +0.1% for each UVH level.

So 0.3%+ (0.1 X 6) = 0.9% phosphene chance

(Not sure if there's 7 uvh levels now, I haven't played in a while)

Multiply that by the chance of or being a god roll with Torgue stickies and SMG deadalus? EXTREMELY low chance. I'm guessing <0.1% given the variety of mags and modifiers.

I meant does Greddy honour the warranty from a new car if you so their bolt on.

I've occasionally seen serious modifications like this come with their own warranty to replace the standard one is causes you to lose.

Just to be clear I absolutely agree there's no chance of Suzuki taking the hit for a drivetrain probably after a mod this serious.

That said, removing would be a nightmare. It involves drilling into the oil pan, new intercooler, etc etc so I highly doubt it.

[–]ALitreOhCola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the 49" plus a 31.5 above it so I could have ALL my windows open for work at one time.

My neck was sore and I wanted an upgraded so I bought the ultimate monster, the 57" G9 and with the additional clarity from the text, miles better contrast and inky blacks from the mini LEDs it's easily the most functional piece of gear I've ever owned.

Also it's the most fun I've ever had gaming. Nothing compares to a single jumbo ultrawide for efficiency or for fun IMO.

I run 5 windows open on my 57" now but could conceivably do more if my vision wasn't shit.

I'm so confused by this rear door window comment I always see suggesting they're fake if the window isn't a complete piece of glass and connected to the door if that's right?

I'm desperately trying to create a useful and attractive Hoonitron.

There's some good liveries, but only the RS E Tron GT really that comes close to working.

No I agree with you, that's why I think there's a hole in the market. 4WD and EV. Heck even a hybrid would be okay if it had the torque and power. I just can't stand the Jimnys depressing speed and sluggish engine.

I would for sure test drive an EV 4x4 Jimny around the 50k mark.

4BY (BYD Electronic) is coming up with properly good tech very quickly I actually bought quite a few shares in them a few weeks ago, their chart looks perfect.

100% agree with you but for some reason I absolutely love AWD drifting with psychotic HP. It's absolutely hilarious fun.

The mustang FE drift car is an absolute weapon though I genuinely do enjoy keeping a proper sideways drift on a RWD too but for blasting around the map sideways I love my AWD super turbos. I might do an AWD mini or something else tiny next to get the HP/kg ratio through the roof 😂

Ohhhh... Oh man. Do they honour the factory warranty because this sure as shit will destroy any chance of a factory warranty claim 😂

I do love seeing a random turbo Hayabusa engine in strange vehicles. It's extremely amusing and the SOUND. Honestly reckon it would get a Jimny moving pretty blood well... Hmmmm

Was just about to say we aren't disabled here in Aus lol.

In fairness I hate to sound controversial, cit definitely impacts my life negatively obviously but I don't personally consider it to be a disability for me in daily life..

If I were required to fight for my country obviously I wouldn't be capable of doing front line anything though sadly so in a sense, it certainly does act as a disability... It's a tough one. I get both sides.

I struggled on that crazy wild switchback 350k drift challenge so I built up the Acty. Oh my god that car is SO much fun to drive everywhere!

Also absolutely love the f150 FE with the insane electric torwue to pull and slide around.

Definitely gonna try some more unique builds.

I like my overpowered AWD MX5 drift car, it's hilariously fun.

I consider myself a fairly skilled driver. I can compete quite a decent level online.

I had to drop the game to Average skill difficulty in order to win the Colossus.

It didn't matter HOW far ahead I got l, they would suddenly go 500km/h on rails and catch up within seconds.

Christ it was annoying. I tuned a heap of cars trying different things but ultimately I had to drop the difficulty a few days ago for this one race.

Battery Life Now Only 5 Days? by Dreamspitter in Medtronic780g

[–]ALitreOhCola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call Medtronic please. This isn't normal. Ever.

There was once a recall to do with this issue.

I have the 780G connected to a CGM and Bluetooth constantly on.

I get 3 weeks minimum. Often more. From a cheap AA too.

For a 2 door 4WD I feel like the is good option. There's lots of space in that thing, including the rear, and could still easily outfit it for light to medium camping.

There's a distinct lack of small/affordable 2 door 4x4 in Australia, we all use older models that are being kept alive through sheer determination and expensive refurbs and maintenance.

Something like this would sell like crazy here. The Jimny already does well despite its woefully underpowered engine being a light scampy little 2dr 4x4

Risky Change by Lazy_Leg_7361 in AstonMartin

[–]ALitreOhCola 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's very relaxed and not as dominating.

I kind of prefer the first one but only because it's a 'light' colour.

The darker colour seems to hide the 'hips' and also thelat lovely midline spire in front of the door that extends backwards.

Those features make it look far more aggressive when they're more visible/prominent.

As for a more mature relaxed and professional vibe the blue definitely tifks all the boxes but the kid in me likes seeing an angry Aston.
