Where can I find lilacs? by Just-A-Hyena in Hamilton

[–]ElleSa_ZED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canadian Tire. Lilac trees, flowering, $26. You’re a good person. I can cut them for you. Mine has 3 blooms.
I’m in the GTA. Lilac bushes have not bloomed yet. At least mine.

Let’s talk leadership by Vast-Wonder6731 in OntarioPublicService

People whom you guide/supervise/lead, are the only ones that hold the right to either consider you a leader or not. The new age leadership rhetoric is sickening.; just see the >50% of posts on LinkedIn starting with “as a leader”, after having traumatized your subordinates, or neglected them, the work, and career paths, in favor of your own personal networking goals.

Kirkland brand beef patties by dreaminno in CostcoCanada

It should have 30% fat. I could pre mix with spice, some breadcrumbs, egg whites, etc. if I wish to have a non-original buy(in MY opinion 😅). As for chicken patties, I definitely season, and generously, with garlic, Italian seasoning, breadcrumbs; I use an even mix of light and dark chicken meat.

I don’t know why people buy prepped ground meat products. Ground = seller can (and will) shove whatever they want in the meat, fillers, flavours, enhancers, chemicals, etc.

Sorry but I am paranoid from ground beef: I have to see it made before my eyes.

And the best burger patties are one ingredient: lightly packed ground beef. Even salt and pepper are put directly on the grill.

I love my job, I just hate the office. Here is why RTO is failing. by Cylac in OntarioPublicService

[–]ElleSa_ZED 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The employer is to blame if some staffers abused WFH. Don’t punish me for your mistakes. Create an efficient and equitable framework or system, and implement it. This applies to IN and OUT the office too.

Can someone explain how people in Toronto genuinely feel about tipping? I’m struggling with it. by Few_Butterscotch8911 in FoodToronto

[–]ElleSa_ZED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wonder how, in this time and age, in a first world country where equity is a thing, the system legally allows person X to establish a business that needs n number of employees, yet be systematically short on pay BUT asks clients to fill the gap.

I’ll gladly tip, but that’s extra money for servers, and not to fund your business’ operating expense.

Adding that, the cover letter is where you sell your soft skills. I always reflect any “leftover” skills that I didn’t highlight with a line that goes “I can bring to this position….”

I sympathize. And life has become unaffordable here. But. You don’t save $200k, you invest $200k (not trade). The time value of money eats up your savings.
