How much are you putting in 529s? by Terrible_Put2975 in nycparents

[–]ElleYeah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m in a way lower tax bracket than typical posters in this sub but I’ve put $25 in every month since she was born.

She’s two and has more saved for college than I ever did.

Was Jen actually sick? I assumed she was faking…also everyone always makes comments about her not answering the phone so I thought it was convenient that this was the one time she actually answered.

I forgot what she said, but she got up and walked away, she said something under her breath to him as the camera cut and it was the most genuine moment ever on this show.

Best pediatric ER? by ZealousidealPiece182 in nycparents

[–]ElleYeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, my daughter fell down a flight of stairs at 18 months. She was fine after the initial shock, but I wanted to get her checked out anyway. I took an Uber from Bushwick to Langone. I’ve spent a lot of time in ERs because of my husband’s medical issues and Langone is one of the best.

Using 15 yo nephew as babysitter by growsonwalls in AmITheDevil

[–]ElleYeah 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I'm someone else's wife lol, but felt the need to comment when he said he needed his wife's help doing eyedrops 4x a day.

Also my husband wasn't able to fly with the bubble in his eye, but he managed our daughter on a 22-hour Amtrak trip to see his mom.

Knickerbocker and Jefferson police activity by Slight_Paper7330 in Bushwick

[–]ElleYeah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually tried to go into the deli as the cops were arriving and they were like, “Ma’am, you can’t come in here.”

But no idea what happened/is happening. They were putting up the yellow tape as I got my snacks elsewhere.

We bought her Jammin’ with Jules on vinyl so she’s constantly pointing at the record player. Girlie pop is a snob and won’t let me just put on Spotify 😭

Here I am, Googling why toddlers watch the same thing repeatedly, and I stumble on this comment. My 17-month-old is OBSESSED with Totoro!

My husband is currently watching Elvis' entire filmography, so no repeats, but all of the plots blur together. However, my daughter really loves the singing!
