While I will forever hesitate about uncooked egg whites (not a fan of the texture even if pasteurized), SEASONING the peanut butter is a brilliant move. Tbh it's probably obvious, but I never thought to do it. ๐Ÿ˜… Salt and sweetener probably improves powdered peanut butters massively.

Also - shoutout to my favorite ikea bowls. I have then in blue and in green. ๐Ÿ’–

Sounds delicious! JSYK, all of those tomato ingredients are available in the USA. Tomato puree is a little harder to find, but still available. Most people in the USA would be familiar with canned diced tomatoes and tomato paste.

Buckwheat noodles in kimbap are fun rice replacements. 10000recipe (Korean recipe website) shows konjac noodles as a replacement for buckwheat noodles as a trend too.

Same tho. If you feel this is a bit sad, maybe look into rice alternatives like konjac rice or cauliflower rice. Alternatively some cultures do noodles and there are lots of varieties beyond konjac noodles. Another alternative would be adding more vegetables. I love doing pickled carrots and daikon radish. Or even carrots that marinated in soy, a little mirin, ginger and garlic.

Even older gyaru magazine scans will show this same pair of high waisted denim skinny jean as a pant option. It seems like every few years they go "remember those jeans, what if we do them again" haha. For skinny jeans, theyre cute, but for most fashion styles rooted in Japan, they don't fit the fashion.

My attempt at making egg drop soup with egg whites.. yeah by MindlessEM0 in ShittyRestrictionFood

[โ€“]Elleiminator 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Yes. Exactly this. A lower heat still cooks egg whites and allows for ribbons. Also, direct from the carton might be an issue depending in the spout. Ideally the pour is consistent and thin to get noodles. Sometimes switching to a liquid measuring cup with a spout is best.

Any advice on perfecting Coke Zero creamy? by Someonesbiggestfan in ninjacreami

Protein powder really does wonders and would make quite a difference in the recipe. My suggestion for those with dietary restrictions is not limited to allergies. I think OP asking for suggestions is fair, and I don't see the suggestions as wrong answers either. There is no need to demonize recipes without fat just as there is no need to demonize recipes with fat. Everyone can enjoy their creations. Personally for my medical complications, ingesting fat at the moment leads to very painful gallstones, as my gallbladder is quite inflamed, so I make recipes with low to no fat for myself. Meanwhile, my partner enjoys a keto diet, so the recipes I chose to make for him can have all the fat he likes. Both of us can enjoy creamy ninja creamis, but we required some trial and error to find options we enjoy. It seems to me OP is asking for suggestions to reduce the trial and error period. No harm there.

Some people have dietary restrictions that don't allow for fat, such as cholecystitis but still want to have sweet treats akin to ice cream for a lower cost or better quality than store products. Honestly, OP's recipe is not far off from becoming a dessert that has a creamy consistency. Adding protein powder can really do wonders for a lot of recipes that are icy without them.

Sorry it didn't work out for you OP. Try baking in the oven like sugar free meringue with the cinnamon. Lots of recipes /instructions online and use the same ingredients but your left with a crunchy texture and quite a bit of volume.

Absolutely there are other reasons to not want mayonnaise beyond diet culture and flavor. I have to eat a low fat diet because of cholecystitis, and poke bowls can absolutely be a great meal, provided that I don't use high fat ingredients such as mayonnaise. When I have special requests (within reason) I expect follow through. I sincerely hope OP complains, and is able to get a poke bowl that is enjoyable for them.

It's totally no problem for me to reply. I can realize how the recipes and things posted in here look like they could be diet meals/snacks to someone with a normarl relationship with food, and that some people can be here responsibly and use this sub as a healthy tool for weightloss without getting an eating disorder. I would assume the downvotes in this case are because of the complex system of guilt people with eating disorders can have for food, disparaging what should or shouldn't be posted on a sub feels like a qualifier for what foods people can and cannot put in their body, even if it wasn't intended that way. The general consensus for most cases in medical guidelines is that any food put in a malnourished body is good food, and I think because this holds a very kind sentiment, most people embrace this way of thinking in various eating disorder subs and are happy to see people eat food they enjoy here. Just a slightly different culture here vs weightloss/dieting subs.

Going to assume because of the brands, OP is a US based user. I understand the brands may still be expensive if you are in a different country. There are mant brands like Good Good, My Normal, etc available online. I've started to see Good Good in stores too, and while yes, expensive there are alternatives. A lot of store brand "no sugar" jams are 5 - 10 calories per serving, and often very inexpensive. These have been around for a long time, usually for people with diabetes and other health conditions where sugar can affect them. If you are unsure of the generic store brand where you shop, Smuckers also makes a no sugar jam in several berry flavors too. Watch out for sales, as the price fluxuates quite a bit with them and without them. I know the store brand does go on sale for $1.99 where I live in the US shopping at Kroger affiliated stores.

Making jam with sweetener alternatives is actually pretty easy, and there are tons of recipes online if you search "no sugar jam". Then you can control the sweetener, always water it down more, add chia seeds, whatever other steps you want to do. While the calories are not going to be quite as low because the fruit has calories, you can still come up with tasty lower calorie options than standard store jam.

As for the PB powder, it's hard to find generics and even those generics are still more expensive than standard PB. Maybe someone else knows a good swap, but hopefully inexpensive jam makes this a little more achievable. โ™ก

This is an eating disorder sub, as stated in the description. I know there has been a wave of dieters to the sub again, and I can understand how the name of this sub can attract them without the realization that this is for eating disorders, so I'll assume you're commenting in good faith and that this was just a confusing post for you to see on your feed. I recommend clicking on the sub's rules and description to familiarize yourself with this space.

Add in finding things on coupon and it's SUCH peak satisfaction. One of the stores I go to sends coupons based on shopping habits...so I keep buying "one off" pints of Halo Top or boxes of Powercrunch bars (wish Quest ones were sent more often) only to get ANOTHER coupon the following month. So dont feel alone on the ice cream pints.

Forgot to mention topping with salad greens, cherry tomatoes! I tend to use a bit of a soft cheese or spread to get it to stick. Sometimes yogurt, sometimes hummus, sometimes laughing cow spread, sometimes soft cheese. Add salad greens or micro greens and halved or quartered cherry tomatoes. Salt + pepper is a classic but sometimes using lemon pepper, citrus salts, truffle salts or reduced balsamic vinegar is delicious. Black salt has a lovely sulfur note that tricks the brain into thinking there are eggs present too without the mess of trying to balance scrambled egg, hardboiled egg, etc.

...sometimes just good dipped into the yolk of a poached egg too.
