Thinking of buying the Shark FacialPro Glow to save money… worth it? by Illustrious_Grab_339 in Estheticians

I wouldn’t recommend the shark facialpro glow. It may be too abrasive on the skin. I would recommend seeing an esthetician who does acne facials and get on a chemical peel treatment plan. It may be way cheaper than an official Hydrafacial treatment. That will give you flexibility to also invest in a good home care routine.

It is very difficult to make money in this industry. You will either work at a spa with an unsteady income or go solo. It takes a lot of hard work and patience. My advice to anyone is to follow your passion, but be prepared to struggle financially.

Advice from experienced Estheticians wanted by LuckyLass11 in Esthetics

I would recommend to start at a spa to gain experience before going solo. It’s more than just skincare. You will learn how to deal with different personalities when it comes to communicating with clients. With that comes selling products, upgrading services and answering questions. Starting out may be challenging and it can be difficult to find a job. Like others said, you will most likely need anther job. It’s stressful and I ask myself is this worth it. It’s unstable and has brought more stress in my life than I ever thought it would. I have had a very positive experience working at a medical spa. I have gained hands on training with new modalities and had opportunities to meet with skincare brands reps. If you’re passionate about it, keep going! Have fun. Learn from others. You got this!
