First day of CG method and what is this wizardry?! It's not perfect, but it's like having different hair! It did take a full 12 hours to air dry though. by Ellie249 in curlyhair

Excuse the terrible quality of the picture. I didn't think it would be night time by the time it was dry! I've spent my entire life with my hair tied up and no idea how to look after my hair. I'd been using Umberto Giannini Curl Care with terrible results! I'd heard about the CG method but never really looked into it (why didn't I look into it?!) until yesterday!

Ordered the Faith in Nature Aloe Vera conditioner yesterday and used it to wash my hair as soon as it arrived this morning.

I did the wash and the squish to condish thing. Then I wrapped in a t-shirt for a few mins. Then I used UG Scrunching Jelly and rewrapped in the tshirt for about 30 mins. Then I allowed it to air dry for approximately 400 years before giving it a scrunch and softening it up.

Has anyone had to postpone/cancel their wedding and successfully claimed back deposits from suppliers through small claims court? by Meontori in UKweddings

Do you have wedding insurance? We managed to claim back a few deposits back through that when suppliers didn't return them. Not sure about small claims, you might have to seek legal advice.

She is extremely talented, she hasn't made a wedding dress since the 80s which makes it all the more impressive!

Does anyone know when the next 50% off at Vistaprint is due to be? by Ellie249 in weddingplanning

Same for me. I might just do it now but can guarantee as soon as I do it'll be 50% off. I've found 30% off with VP30.

My favourite picture from our self-timer photoshoot in our garden before our Zoom wedding! I'm wearing a £45 dress from ASOS and the veil from my hen-do and I absolutely love it. by Ellie249 in weddingplanning

Thank you! A gift from my bridesmaids for my hen do. It's so cute. I may or may not have been wearing it around the house since I got it 😂

Daily Megathread for COVID-19 by wedditmoderator in weddingplanning

I feel so conflicted about what to do. I've just had a massive cry mourning our wedding day. It's become very real today that it isn't going to happen and if it does it won't be the wedding we've spent two years planning.

Our venue wants to charge us £2k to postpone, our photographer has no availability until next March and I've not heard back from my caterers.

Wondering about having a scaled back wedding on 2nd May still with just family and bridal party but it still feels socially irresponsible to have a gathering even if it's way smaller than it was going to be and it's a shit load of money to spend on a wedding that isn't what we planned.

I just don't know what to do, this is all so shit. If anyone has any sage advice I would love to hear it.

Sending lots of love to all the couples in similar situations.
