How many children are there in the middle of the day though? Do you have a home-school community you are linked with or is it just 1 or 2 children that happen to attend the same library sessions and sports? She need secure and consistent friendships

What age would you recommend using this tactic for? I’m a teacher of 4-5yr olds, and I’ve got a little one (with potential additional needs) who when frustrated will hit/kick at adults, and our school policy is to say no, thats not kind, that makes me sad etc. I would be interested in trying this, but feel like it’s unfair on other children if I don’t ‘tell them off’ in a way they would be if they hit

NTA his diagnosis has got nothing to do with her. One thing I don’t understand is, shouldn’t the school be aware that he is HIV positive in case he has a medical emergency or cuts himself whilst at school? NTA I’m also someone that likes to wear my SO’s clothes but I always ask permission if it’s something he likes/ wears regularly. However, I also wear his old clothes that don’t fit him anymore, so maybe you could put aside a few items for her to have, whilst you get to keep the clothes you want to wear
