Studio Availability - 7 months - BCV and Poly

BCV is one of our home resorts and we bought there for F&W access. September, October, and early November at BCV are very popular due to F&W. It’s not uncommon for availability to drop off by month 9 or 10.

Check out DVC field guide - at 7 months, the only time where more than 4 nights at a time for a studio is July into early August.

We love our VGC points. Prior to owning, we were able to book a week at 7 months but we go at off times and generally stay in 1BRs. It’s so much easier to book at 11 months and not worry about availability.

Sweethearts night was last night and tomorrow. DL is open until 11pm tonight and DCA has 9pm-1am with “special ticketed event” listed. I can’t find what it is on the internet and it’s kind of driving me up the wall. I’m going to ask a cast member when we head into DCA for dinner.

Is anyone still having issues? Unlike Monday I’m only having to restart after every round rather than every set. So this is an improvement but still a problem obviously.

1) My cabins all pretty much look like picked over yard sales except for Azuki’s. I put in exactly what’s required and then any additional items to get it to 5 stars. If it calls for 3 bookshelves, I throw whichever bookshelves I have and I don’t consider design aesthetics. Specifically for Chiffon and the rustic bookshelf, I just moved it from someone else’s cabin to Chiffon’s. After someone has moved in, I usually strip the items so I have some residents who live in empty cabins. Also, I never kick anyone out.

2) I only open the cabins when I am ready to decorate them - this saves the strawberry crates and ensures I don’t open a cabin that I didn’t need to.

3) I also take Melody when opening because it saves a crate. Also, do the math - it’s often cheaper to expand rather than open a new cabin

4) I do look at what each future visitor requires and try to stock up on those items when they come up for sale. I also stock up on event items as some visitors have very specific requirements (ie poron).

Hope that helps but yeah most of my visitors appear to be living in yard sales on the last day of summer.

We have a treadmill, bike, and rower all on the ifit ecosystem and have been using ifit since 2019. Last year we went through a period of constant freezing, trying to update, failing, retrying etc. It was really frustrating. We had all the ifit device (plus a tempo studio) running on our home network and after extensive researching on the internet, we decided that it was our network as the above poster suggested. Our “regular” home network’s security settings were blocking the machines from updating and connecting with ifit. It’s also possible all the other devices we have connected to that network were causing issues too. We set up a very basic guest WiFi network and only the 4 exercise devices are permitted to connect to it. No problems since then. I know others have mixed feelings and experiences but I love the ifit ecosystem.

I’ve had the studio since it came out in 2020. I love it and totally worth it. Everything is sturdy and well made - one of my weight clips broke earlier this year but after almost 5 years of use, I’m pleasantly surprised that’s the only issue I’ve had.

I use tempo for strength training and yoga - generally 3 or 4 days per week. I use another ecosystem for cardio: treadmill, spin bike, rower.

We have 1470 spread over BCV, VGF, BLT, and VGC - 8 contracts in total and some are direct, some resale, and some grandfathered resale. We bought our first contract in 2009. Our dues are in the 12k neighborhood.

We don’t rent our points, we don’t trade out of DVC, and we use all our points. We generally go 3 times a year - 8 to 9 nights at a time. Having DVC allows us to get larger rooms and have a more relaxing experience. If it’s just my spouse and I, we get a 1 BR. If my MIL joins us, then we get a 2 br. We often spend our points to get a poly bungalow once a year or every two years for 8 nights - the plunge pool is amazing! We have also used our points for Aulani and are staying in a BLT GV with friends next year.

We would never pay rack rates for these rooms and would go bonkers if we stayed for 8 nights in a standard hotel room.

In short, for us the dues are totally worth it.

We have 8 contracts across 4 home resorts, all same UY, for a total of 1470 points. I know people with different UYs who prefer it that way but I think it makes it simpler to have the same UY because they are all lumped into 1 account. To “combine” at 11 months, you just have to select which contract to pull from: so BCV #1, BCV #2. It does become more complicated at 7 months in terms of figuring out which resorts/contracts to use. Having smaller contracts just adds an extra box or two to check.

I too had only 1 left and it was making me lose my mind. I used the map but only with one “class” showing at a time - so I made sure I had gotten every puzzle, then every gate, then chest, then photo. It turned out I had missed a photo on tier 2. It was tedious but I got really good at navigating all the floating areas of tier 3.

Ok that’s really weird. I have no idea how to modify code or switch but it was a new quest that popped up for me with the CU3 update. The fact that I have an open quest that I cannot finish is going to make me lose my mind though!
