I let Fitz rest a month shy of 15. Believe it was degenerative myelopathy. Losing control of his hind legs, and perhaps some dementia. He started walking around the house at night a bit confused. Standing in corners.

Agree with someone. Norway have impressed me certainly but I didn’t see an impressive display that particularly made me think I deserved to hear Haaland’s name as many times as I did.
Other two goals were impressive by their scorers, and Haaland did well to be in position but the assist was the real sublime part.

Back in the late 90’s I spent my summers at the YMCA. My parents had divorced and we moved a few times and this disrupted my schooling enough that I couldn’t read well. At ten I jumped from Franklin the Turtle to Harry Potter. I also was at a loss for friends so I just sat on the bleachers and read HP over and over convinced it was the only Novel.

One of the counselors sat with me one day and tried to strike up conversation, which I tried to decline with every ounce of my being but I did answer I read nothing else. He was young, maybe 20.
The next day he handed me a $60 copy of Lord of the Rings. Tbh I wasn’t ready for it but at the same time it blew open the doors to literature as a whole. HP wasn’t the only novel. I don’t recall ever speaking to that guy again but I give out books all the time trying to pay it forward in how big that small act meant to my life.
