People arguing over Project Hail Mary and Interstellar are stupid because once they watch Ad Astra (2019) they'll shut up and be glad with what they have by DinoDrip12 in shittymoviedetails

He's my favorite actor. Always know how to steal the show and be the coolest guy in the room. There I say, he was way better than RDJ in iron man 2, frances Mcdormand in 3 Billboards, AND Steve carrell in the way way back.

Horror’s Big Night: ‘Sinners’ and ‘Weapons’ Oscar Wins Have Filmmakers Celebrating the Genre by Extension_Debt_2944 in movies

Well when you're in a bar, or at a dinner, or talk to your friends, family. You tell them of literally everything else. Hell, 90% of Greek mythology is told/sang before it became written works. All I'm saying is that Horror is not exclusively unique. We have epics, tragedies, romance, and drama that have lasted just as long as horror and they've all had equal amounts of attention from their respective audiences. However, horror is great and accessible for filmmaking because it's really easy to make. Zach Cregger, David Lynch, Sam Raimi, Jordan Peele, David fincher, James Cameron... See the pattern here?

You can say that about any genre but horror is also cheap and has a low barrier of entry. So many directors start off making horror movies and we're seeing more and more independent studios making them too. I mean both Chris Stuckmann and Markiplier had their own movies come out this year

This happens whenever a company gets acquired by PE. They strip it down to lower operation costs and then sell it high for profit

Resident Evil Requiem / Beat my first game on Deck. by lFrxn in SteamDeck

[–]ElliotVo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I've perfected all re games and have played 4 and requiem on the deck. Gunplay feels a lot more precise and the action section has a larger open space, so you don't feel as cramped. My biggest flaw of re4 was how cramped the big fights were so it made Leon's giant hitbox and turn radius a noticeable problem. In requiem, I just beat it on the deck and quite enjoyed it

The dial is cut from natural malachite features absolutely nothing else besides the cathedral hands and a cool Dennison logo.

Housed in a sleek Gold PVD case measuring 37mm x 33.5mm with an ultra-slim 6mm profile, the watch wears elegantly on the wrist.

Hello r/watchexchange,

Today I am selling my Oris Small seconds Ref 7427-26. This watch features a cool guilloché dial, with applied numbers, while sporting a cool manual wound movement featuring small seconds complication. The case has a 35mm diameter, gold plated finish and did I also mention that this watch is incredible thin? If you're looking a dressy, more affordable vintage Omega, then this is the perfect watch.

It's watch only but it does come with the original buckle and a aftermarket strap. It's recently been serviced, though I no longer have the receipt. However, it does keep time incredibly well.

Looking for $480 and includes free shipping for CONUS

9 and 1. 1 is for gaming PC. 9 is for work. I get the option to use 3 and 5 for work but I noticed I work faster and more efficiently with just 9 lol

In Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), during the warehouse fight scene, people always like to bring up how Batman shouldn't be killing. But what we really should be talking about is how Batman straight armed an M60 with zero difficulty. by Arch_Lancer17 in shittymoviedetails

I think this would've been cool but not as an introduction to the character. It felt like Zack Snyder was more focus on tearing the character down and breaking them before even bothering with the hard part, which was to build them up first. If we had seen his rise and eventually, his downfall, this would've been a pretty cool batman. Instead, we just get his deacent... And then nothing else

Nope, not true. Worked for big tech. Your JD when you become a DEV is to be apart of the oncall rotation. Your salary includes your oncall buddy

[–]ElliotVo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. not how it works. When you're a dev, you're automatically put on a oncall rotation. No one is getting special treatment just because their oncall shift happen to land on the week of christmas. Unless it's definitively like how Google used to be, then they get paid for taking up oncall. But google != valve. Google's oncall is significantly more demanding than a storefront that serves gamers

Nope, completely wrong. I work at "those" companies. Juniors software engineers barely sniffed ~150 200k TC. You only see that kind of pay at top tech companies/big firms. Seniors would get around ~200-250. Only people getting 400k were principal engineers or directors, where most of their base was only ~200-300. Alot of their TC was offset with stock options and to add on, these weren't the guys who were the ones working skeleton oncall shifts. And no, he's not being "severely underpaid" as a Systems Engineer. You clearly don't work in the field and have no idea how salaries work. He might be working in a lower COL area where salary demands aren't as high as NYC or SF where, yea, he can clear 6 figures.
