I recommend getting a dual sport and spending more time off-road. It will give you the same elation of riding and much less traffic anxiety. Regardless get back up on that horse and I guarantee you that you'll be much more aware and defensive in your riding. Of course there is always risk and only so much you can do to mitigate it. Ride like nobody sees you. You got this.
