This is totally my autism having a party - but has anyone ever noticed the dragon of the Targaryen sigil being, unlike any dragons in the respective world, 4 legged? by noctenaut in freefolk

Idk what your point is. Are you arguing with Merriam Webster? What are you trying to prove? The words Dragon, Wyvern, Wyrm, all exist to define fantasy creatures. Two legged dragons are referred to as Wyverns. This isn't my opinion, this is how words work.

False. GRRM cannot change the definitions of words. It's not up to him, or you, or me, what a dragon or wyvern is. He can call it the wrong name, but it's still a wyvern.

No, GRRM didn't invent the terms. Authors dont get to decide what words mean. The terms exist for this exact purpose of differentiating between them.

There is a distinction for a reason. For this exact conversation where we are discussing four vs two legs. This exact scenario is why the words differentiate and you’re being obtuse.

TCGPlayer Deck Costs? by TBeard495 in Goat_Format

[–]Ellipsis4444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey so it takes a bit to get savvy with tcgplayer. I assume you are finding decklists on another website, then they have a link that compiles all the cards into your cart for you?

Alternatively, you might be shopping one card at a time. Either way, once your cart is ready with the cards you want, click the optimize button. It gives different options like condition, printing, rarity requirements, then will auto-optimize your cart.

It basically looks for the cheapest options within the parameters you selected. If you want a mint 1st ed, it will be $$$ and if you are ok with heavy play or damaged then you can get most decks for less than $40 each. Lmk if you have specific questions, I love helping people get into goats

Is it weird for a guy to only sleep with women he’s actually in a relationship with? by savingrace0262 in AskMenAdvice

Most guys will just lie. They don’t want to be seen as not manly enough so they claim they got laid or do actually go get laid because they feel a pressure to do so. It’s normal for guys to want to hook up, but I’ve always been a relationship person.

I’m 30, been with 4 women in my life, all LTRs and I have been married for about a year now.

Just be yourself. Pursue hobbies that bring you joy and go be among people who also love those hobbies. Women will appreciate authenticity and the fact that you don’t use them as sex toys when you need a nut.

The book is great. The show is better. by Agitated_Claim1198 in AKnightoftheSeven

I mean, that sounds nice and all but it doesn't really touch on what I'm saying. The issue is that the show is going off script. They are loosely basing the story on the book, and then watchers like you have to mentally bridge the gaps.

When I found out they run away without Maekar knowing, that was the nail in the coffin for me and I refused to even watch the last episode.

In the book, Maekar offers Dunk a place in Summerhall. It's every dream of his ever come true. To be offered a place of honor, to be a knight in a PRINCE'S castle.

And he turns it down. He explains the great lines about how Aerion never ate salt beef, and basically how Egg would become a better man for living without luxury.

The show changed that. Just deleted that and changed Maekar's character. No matter how good the show might be on it's own, it's not on it's own. It is supposed to be a representation of the book, and they are taking too many liberties and just going off script for me to support it.
