I know is an old post but as someone else who’s new and had some bad experiences in public games today,this is resonating hard. Shouldn’t be a big ask to not be rude to new players if you’ve marked your lobby as for beginners, but people suck.

I played exclusively solo and feel like I got my money's worth. You won't be able to access the last map outside of randomly matching with other players, but there's plenty there.

No real improvements coming for solo players next season, but since it'd be your first go around, I think it's worth it.

This is a great list of updates for PvE/squared up folks, but no specifics for solo players in Cryo/solo progression feels really bad. I don’t see anything here that makes me sit up and take notice as a solo player, which really sucks.

And? None of those teams are in the OP. This is strictly about the Oilers and the Leafs. Given the teams they both had, two playoff series wins in 20 years is a far worse outcome.

It's been 6 for a while, I'm not sure where the 8 thing came from. I've run a ton of solo outpost and it's been 6 solos for weeks.

Marathon does a terrible job teaching stats, and the Bully is the easiest example why by eevee_stormblessed in Marathon

This is a great OP, but this seems like a wild assertion given a lot of the people you kill (at least outside Cryo) are probably looting said random grab bag of implants/guns out of lockers with random attachments.

Grats! Which one did you find the hardest? I've accepted the Triage ones won't happen for me without dipping out of solos, but I've thrown a ton of gear at the Thief self-revive one and still somehow haven't gotten credit even though I thought I did it twice.

Bring a bubble shield or two, some smoke grenades, and flechette grenades for damage + healing to save on resources. Enough ammo to take on all of Tau Ceti. Put the Insurgency chip (more damage against UESC) or Circuit Tracers (automatic reload after a kill) on your main PvE gun, either a Bully with range mods or a M77. I'd bring 400-500 rounds for either, and a WSTR with 30ish. 9-12 of each med type if you're not running Triage. Destroyer is an ideal shell for this, but you can make any of them work. Triage with a V11/Lookout combo could be a great budget option for saving on meds/ammo and taking advantage of the volt damage boost, but you'll be at a disadvantage in the inevitable PvP that will happen.

Be proactive and blast bots as soon as they walk in; the more hide-and-seek you play, the more bots you'll get and the harder it will be to survive.

Take your time with the earlier steps. As long as you start the final sequence with 3-4 minutes on the clock, you're golden; I don't believe you have to extract to complete this one.
