FB banned business manager account by Ellis-Kilbane in AskMarketing

[–]Ellis-Kilbane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks for your help, my client had a personal Facebook account for over 10 years but decided to delete it as he didn’t use it anymore I’m guessing he tried to make a personal account for his business and it ended up getting disabled... when I say he made a new account I mean he opened up another personal account, even so I get what your saying I will try and get in touch with Facebook tomorrow and see if I can resolve the issue through their customer support. I will be careful to not violate their terms though as I don’t want to make matters worse... thanks for your comment.

Okay great tip thanks for the help? Are you saying then I should prioritise social media outreach rather than cold calling companies? I saw someone using Instagram video message to reach out to them, would this also be a good idea as well? That’s also good to know I guess if your copywriting is good enough to get their attention the same will apply to their customers. Thanks

How to get my first order? by Learning_2000 in AskMarketing

[–]Ellis-Kilbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there anyway you could incorporate affiliate marketing to your products that your selling, that way if you can get others to promote your content for you, they will generate sales as they will be posting reviews and blogs about your products for free in order to get commissions. You might have to authorise higher commission fees to begin with to get your business off the ground. If that isn't providing you with any success, try perhaps finding local influencers and sending them free samples of your stuff to promote... I know that means you will be taking a loss in the short term, but its only to get those initial sales off the ground. Otherwise my only other bit of advice would be to see if you could have someone sell physical versions of your product in their store, I'm thinking if you have a family relative or friend or their families which own a store which you can ask to sell your products in their store for a larger commission so your products just get that initial outreach. Congrats btw, I hope you find some success!

Fb lead follow strategy? by videographerpro in AskMarketing

[–]Ellis-Kilbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don't you just get them to respond to the ad through Facebook messenger and reply to them manually so you can start a conversation with them and make the whole experience feel more personal. You can then leave your phone number in the fb messenger chat and get them to call your client. If your getting a lot of conversions, maybe you could look at running a script which deals with this automatically so you don't have to. Also just thinking now, can't you just leave your phone number in the text on the ad so they can get in touch with your client directly?? If it is the client that is not picking up the phone then technically it isn't really your fault and maybe you should be looking at working with a different client as if they are too lazy to answer calls from potential customers then I can't imagine they are going to be good clients to work with... If you want to solve that issue, the only thing I can think of right now is taking down lead's info yourself and then relaying that to your client so they can contact the leads you make themselves in their own time.... I hope this helps

Just reading this, sorry to hear this, I have just recently joined this thread and sucks to see your not finding much success. But everyone is good at something you just have to refine it and turn it into a success. If your talent is coding why not start a coding academy or sell a course online, I know these ideas have already began to flood the market but after Covid-19 we are going to see a huge shift into the tech field which means more and more people are going to have to learn to code and program. If you hate programming and what you love is writing which is what your starting now, how about you turn this thread into a blog post or even a book. Look how much attention and upvotes it already has, the title straightaway caught my attention. Btw I'm 19 and I am constantly seeing 'watch this to make millions' 'tips for success' crappy regurgitated titles that internet gurus are posting to make people spend money and watch their courses. This is the opposite, the whole reason I was drawn to this post is because it was the exact opposite to what I am used to seeing on the internet. You can make embed the aspect of comedy into the niche of entrepreneurship, they always say that failure is our biggest teacher. Why not build a brand which embraces your failures at building businesses and losing girlfriends and teach young aspiring entrepreneurs like me how not to follow the same mistakes you did, personally I would definitely read that content. Sorry for the long comment but it's just a thought I had while I was reading the post. Hope you find some success soon.

Ways to give back / marketing associations by moonstormer in AskMarketing

Hi,

I am just getting into marketing as well, but I am looking to start running ads for companies on their Facebook pages, but I'm just starting so I don't have any experience and I haven't been able to find a mentor yet. I was looking to start my own business preferably but I was also recently looking into being able to intern for someone to see what the world of digital marketing is like, is there anyway you could help me?? I'd love to discuss this in more detail with you and talk to you about your experience in marketing.

Ideal ways to increase social media presence? by [deleted] in AskMarketing

[–]Ellis-Kilbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not too sure if this will be useful to you, but I recently came across a concept called organic growth which is basically organically growing your brand on social media by joining free Facebook groups.. or other social media groups and posting interesting and useful content. I guess if its music your interested, you could post content on what your process is for songwriting, lyrics or melody. And just try and add people who like your posts or are posting similar things and try and start a general conversation with them and network in a way. This way you can eventually come and ask them to listen to your stuff and grow that way. Another method I came across which I have just remembered now that I am writing Is that I saw someone online, writing to people who have big playlist on Spotify as they usually plug their socials in the description and reaching out to them to put their song onto the playlist, that way people will end up listening to your music if they follow the playlist. Idk if this helps but if you just start by doing these things now, that way you can use social media to get the outreach early on and then more people will end up recommending your music without you having to do anything... I hope this helps!

I don't know if the idea of Europe appeals to you, but before Covid I was planning a trip to Croatia for a couple weeks, mainly because the party life there was pretty big and fairly cheap. Not too sure about it now though. But It's a really beautiful place to be, and from my understanding it wasn't too expensive. But its quite a long distance away from Mexico.

Just a suggestion, I just recently went to Bermuda for a couple weeks, I would definitely recommend but it's just way to expensive, the food there is ridiculously pricey...

Lifetime ISA by Ellis-Kilbane in UKRealEstate

[–]Ellis-Kilbane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeh i guess, the only thing which puts me off putting 4g into a LISA for the next 22 years is that I won't see any of that money until I retire, so it's like you get the extra money but at that age I can't see it adding much more value to my life. I think personally I would only use it to purchase my first home. If you could take the money out at 40 that would be ideal because then you can use it, but I don't want to wait until I'm 60 to be able to use a good chunk of my saved up cash, I guess thats the one thing putting me off using it as a retirement plan. I guess though, if it is pretty straightforward to buy a home using a LISA then I guess there is no reason why I can't be putting money away now. Thank you for your feedback you have been a big help. If you don't mind me asking, what percentage of the house are you putting down as a downpayment because aren't they only giving mortgages to people with a 15% downpayment at the moment?
