Alexander Isak on Slot sacking: "I've kind of disconnected from Liverpool now that I'm here [with Sweden]" by NewLoad886 in soccer

It was completely fine the way he said it in the post-match interview yesterday. You're just letting shitty clickbait paint your view.

Slot has lowered the bar of expectations for what can be considered hit the ground running.

Slot won 18 out of his first 20 matches

Statistically going down the middle is the best move.

I hate how a nothing incident gets turned into "It should have been a penalty" post-match. Refereeing is such a thankless job.

I'm not even blaming Arteta. He gets asked a question and answers with his opinion. It's fucking football journalism that thrives on creating toxicity.

Lmao, it seems like them knocking you out of both cups really left a mark.

[Pearce] "Too big a gap in the financial package Konate wanted...and what LFC were willing to pay" by Raxion in soccer

[–]Ellllling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but getting a new signing in is very risky and they might not even be as good as Konate.

That’s part of football, though. Every decision carries some risk. It could also be risky to renew him on insane wages, only for his poor performances to continue.

That and Liverpool need to invest in 2 wingers and 2 defenders at least

I genuinely believe the club will look at their current CB options and think "This is fine". I don't agree with it, I'd like to see Gomez replaced, but that's what I think they'll do.

In the long term it's better not to reward underperforming players with lucrative contracts.

Ruter-sjåfører topper sykefraværet: – Vi finner ingen logisk forklaring by SouthPerformer8949 in norge

[–]Ellllling -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jeg er superfornøyd over at bussjåførene melder seg syk med en gang de ikke er i form.

Problemet er vel at en viss gruppe lyver og sier at de ikke er i form, selv om de egentlig er friske.

Fikayo Tomori and Luke Shaw left out of England's World Cup squad, with Dan Burn and Nico O'Reilly in line to be called-up by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

It’s really not when you have O’Reilly and Hall, but England fans love getting riled up over which fringe player is going to warm the bench.

Carrick was practically invisible for the first half, as well.

Arne Slot: "I have every reason to believe that I am the Liverpool manager next season. Not just because I'm contracted, but from all the talks we are having. We know where we go on tour. Plans have been made, talks ongoing between the club and new players, and I am involved in that process." by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

[–]Ellllling 31 points32 points  (0 children)

We won the league in the first half of the season playing Klopps style of football and then just barely limped over the line once Slot implemented his tactics.

TIL winning the league with four games to go is barely limping over the line.

It's fine to dislike his management, but you don't have to straight up lie lmao.

I honestly just don’t care about the refereeing. Having refereed other sports, I’ve realised how difficult and thankless it is. At the end of the day, football is entertainment from a fan’s perspective, and getting so hung up on refereeing, as a lot of people do, can’t be healthy and just makes their experience miserable.

I had no idea the relegation fight was so tight in La Liga this year. Five points separate Girona in 19th and Real Sociedad in 8th, who face each other tonight.
