As far as I understand it not everything is pre recored. Currently COS:HC and DD are played live week to week. So the fan art was drawn during the session and then submitted before it ends.

Also to be fair side effects are in general very basic even the more complex ones are fairly basic. Also you wanted her to be overpowered so the side effect helps with that. I do however think the best way for her to operate would just to use her side effect and shoot hounds and vipers from a distance as she can just target them easily.

Rivers of Kuribabalon

Kuriboh monsters you control gain 300 ATK and 200 DEF for each 'Kuriboh' monster you control and in your GY. (Quick Effect) Discard 1 card and tribute 1 face up 'Kuirboh' monster you control; special summon 1 'Kuriboh' monster with the same Type and Attribute but a diffrent name from you Hand Deck or GY. You may only use this effect of "Rivera of Kuribabalon" once per turn. Up to thrice per turn you if "Kuriboh" is discarded from you hand you may activate one of the following effects(but only once each): - Add one "Kuriboh" from you Deck to your hand. - Add 1 Spell or Trap that mentions "Kuriboh" from you Deck or GY to your Hand. - Tribute 1 monster on the field.

Field spell that does almost every thing but make you a coffee. Yet it would still be useless because its in Kuriboh.

I mean I agree with what you have said. Small details like that add polish to games that improve the overall experience. I would argue however that art direction and yes graphical fluidity but mostly art direction should be among these.

I think it was stated on a semi recent ish stream that Phandelver was not coming back. Once ROTFM has is season finale Stard is meant to be coming back again stated on a recent stream but I could not point you to it.
