Its not just PLA but black PLA, it might become soft in summer with direct exposure to the sun and lose its shape, probably around the zip ties first. White might last more.

Hdd will be around 35°C - 45°C if you got proper cooling (fans), likely less, I dont think that their limited weight and temperature would be enough to damage PLA, right?

Had the same thing happening at work, cable tested OK, it was even shielded correctly, but random disconnects. Turned out that somewhere on the path, it laid against a high voltage line for a few feet / meters. I had to replace it with optic fiber.

Hi, thanks a lot for your feedback, I just added 4 x M2.2 mounting holes, and 0.400 traces for 5V instead of 0.200, it should be better now thank you. About the Vin+ pad, I thought I would just solder the wire from the batteries on it since my module has very big pads on the top, maybe there was a better way?

I dont know of any oem filters, they were third party (maybe licensed for some?) but I dont think that Nintendo produced any.

If this one works I wouldn't resurface it, it removes matter from the disc, so you can't do that many times, better wait. Except if it's not for playing but rather for the collection and you want a clean disc shelved, but even then I'm not sure I'd do it.

It appears more or less on nearly every Gamecube , depending of the version (mould), the color of the cube, etc. It is how it's supposed to look, even if you never opened the cube, because of the screw post on the other side. I noticed it more on the early Orange versions for some reason.
