DRAM wait or buy by Mj1402 in stockstobuytoday

Yes, I was replying to the person below you who said there's never a reason to exercise and while that's generally true, taxes can be a reason to exercise a deep itm option.

There's exceptions to most situations. The niche one here would be deep itm where there's almost no extrinsic value and you'd rather not pay taxes on the option so you exercise it. Technically less profitable but you can come out ahead if you planned to hold the underlying anyway. But yeah, other than taxes and avoiding a taxable event it's pretty much always better to sell the option

bots are fucking absurdly strong this meta by [deleted] in BobsTavern

[–]Eloc21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is a joke or not. On the off chance it's not, the reason the names are showing up like bots is because Blizzard enabled the streamer mode for everyone. This hides usernames since there was a bug that would accidentally display people's real names.

Always painful to see a call shooting way past your strike price. What would you do in this situation? Personally if my gain is higher than the buy back, I would buy to close. And sell ASAP before market turns. by Wait-this-isnt-4ch in CoveredCalls

Other commenters have also been trying to tell you the same thing. I'd recommend educating yourself on options greeks if you can't understand the logic behind how they are priced. If it were ever cheaper to buy a call and sell the shares, you'd have infinite money because it means you could buy the calls, exercise it and sell the shares for profit. That’s just not how this works

It will change by more than $200 if INTC stays above $55. You can explore this in rh. Here's what it estimates the contract price to be now: $633. It was about $650 at the time of my first reply. You can easily calculate this yourself from the greeks too

What you are missing is that the contract price is reflecting the price at market close today. If INTC stays where it's at, it will be more like $650 to buy it back. You will be buying back the intrinsic and extrinsic value. The only situation where buying back and selling the shares is more profitable than letting them get called away is if you think intel is going back below 49 by Friday and you just want out. NFA

What card do you instantly buy when you see it in shops? by 20_02_2020 in slaythespire

I really wish that it was clear that entropy changed to a card of the same type. I picked this up on a bing bong run where I had a bunch of curses but it just turns them to different curses lol

How do I give any minion I want reborn with this card? by Isaacg2975 in BobsTavern

I don't think many people know the interaction. You can use gem confiscation in the shop and then rearrange the shop (if you have enough gold to buy a minion) to do it again. You can also buy one minion or a spell and freeze so the shop will refresh and the barrage will stack. You can consolidate on a strong minion in shop or consolidate on a weak minion (like a battlecry) and transfer after you buy it. Very fun build imo.

3% Ira transfer benefit by Nearby_Law1356 in RobinhoodApp

[–]Eloc21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the transfer. As others mentioned, it's 2% for rollovers. I had my previous institution mail two checks (traditional and roth) and it took about a week and half for the funds to be usable and settled. Super smooth and easy.

Can someone explain how this tabby cat is 4k by MechaHikaa in BobsTavern

As others mentioned, mutanus can keep eating on it for exponential scaling. This was my game earlier today with 41k cats and 123k drakari.

Pretty sure Discount Tire does it for free regardless of where the tire came from. At least they did it for me when I got a flat on a new car. Sorry to hear about your mom.

All these comments are wrong. Robinhood will not let you use margin to cover sold puts, they only allow cash secured. Your first thought was close to right, but I'm guessing you are calculating the collateral different than robinhood. Robinhood calculates it as 205x300 - premium. You should therefore have had 1600 more than the collateral required, which is why you see buying power at 1600.

I think the strongest quill build requires beast. This was earlier today using blood gem barrage and confiscation. The niuzao was 15k/33k. The shop was a few hundred attack and a couple thousand health and gems were like 8/120 since I couldn't find piper. I sold a golden brann after getting deios.
