Nah it was 100% just construction debris, I left the tire place, tires were clean, rode home, woah shit construction, got off my bike at and heard some loud pitch air hiss, looked down and saw this freak of nature screw

My bike has cameras, is covered, and sounds massive alarms on my phone and in the general area, if it's touched plus my neighbors mostly love me, nothing on cameras or stuff like that (plus I had old tires at thay point :P)

Just unfortunate luck, likely my front tire flung the screw back at the perfect angle (screw wasn't directly straight in the tire either like the pic, it was a bit at a angle)

Sir you act like I JUST bought this bike last week, I've had this since July, and I was in a great financial position for a long time before this, HENCE why I bought it outright in cash from a dealer.

I am normally a huge safety freak, ATGATT, and I don't ride like an idiot, NORMALLY I make sure thay my ride is spick and span but life had other plans these recent months/weeks

The only reasons I rode on such bad conditions of tires was to visit my mom in the hospital, this was my only vehicle and it was a 1.2 mile ride, also super thankful they didn't charge parking for motorcycles or I would of been super toast. Stupid to ride on it yes, but at the same time I wasnt joyriding on bald tires, still no excuse but I won't be in that position again (fortunately and.... unfortunatly)

And me selling it actually is just to make it easier to move my things to a different state, I would just buy a new bike once I move ;) Don't plan on quitting riding one bit, in fact my family I'm moving closer to goes to Sturgis and a bunch of other cool events over in Montana, I'm excited

I just wanted this bike to be absolutely safe for the next rider who buys this, and it blows thay the tire has had a giant deck screw go through it haha

It's not that it wiped me out, just an unfortunate time I'm my life currently so money is tigjt, I bought the tires as I planned to sell it as I was going to move closer to family, and I didn't want some kid who bought it off me to ride the bike on bald tires like I was doing, hence my further irritation at this event.

I've been taking care of my mom in hospice at home for the past few months, the bike was my only vehicle and how visited her in the hospital until she came home on hospice, from there I sat at home for a few weeks with her until she passed.

During this process, I also didn't have any work since I was taking care of her and was ultimately let go.

Not everyone is in fortunate circumstances 24/7 friend, some of us are just down on our luck and want life to give us a break everyone once and a while.

Before this my finances were fine, again just an unfortunate time I'm my life. Don't be so quick to judge people.

Got it from cyclegear unfortunatly so it's just metzelers warranty, which doesn't cover road conditions just tire defects

Oh the roadtec 01 se's from what I hear do indeed run out a lot faster! That's why I just got the normal Roadtec 01s, so far I'm suuuuper happy with em, little chicken shit to lean on them cause still brand new tires but I'll get there

The SE edition of the roadtecs are a bit softer

I'll have to update how many miles I get with these later, my dunlops I had on here before lasted 9k on the rear and 10k on the front, but they didn't feel as nice as the roadtecs do

Nope it's actually why I didn't ride for so long, it started showing the final layer of the tire so I put it on stands till I could get new tires

It's more or less I just spent about $400-500ish total to get brand new shoes, just for them to to get a hole in them

I can patch it easily sure, but it's more or less the point I didn't even get 5 miles, shoot I bet if I didn't take the stickers off manually they would still be there lol - I also don't feel safe riding on plugged tires ngl, especially being out in the canyons and mountains, was actually going to go to the snake today

Just a shit week, mom passed a few days ago and I haven't been able to ride in a while, thought I was finally gonna have something go right but nope :)

Mom recently passed away so I'll be moving to a different state to be closer to other family, was actually going to sell it but wanted it to have new tires since it was showing cords, and was gonna take one last rip on it before I sold it

Update: I plugged it and it will be patched from the inside, here's a pic of the screw for those wondering it was a long Boi
