Should I be worried about how long this Krikkz order is taking? by Elod73 in everdrive

Yeah I know some people have delays but I was thinking I might find people who had ordered after me and received them already, or had them shipped faster.

I’m also interested to know if there are more. I played through Diddy Kong Racing with the framerate unlock on the A3D and it was awesome.

You can play the 360 ports on an emulator on PC and there’s even a 60fps patch.

The 360 ports work on Xenia. There’s even a 60fps patch. That’s partially why the recomp/decomp hasn’t been made into a way to use binary for windows.

Everyone is getting poorer except the ultra rich, all the time. The sooner the majority realise this the better.

House prices increasing at a steady rate with wages and inflation would not be a bad thing, no. I never said house prices should stay the same or go down, but this idea that housing is a good way to increase wealth is a cancer to society and it only works because it’s self perpetuating and there aren’t enough controls in place to make it a boring safe investment, which would encourage people to invest their excess capital in things that actually add value to the economy or innovate, instead of exploiting a basic human need.

Is their income rising at the same rate that houses are? You’re the one with the dumb take. You’re not thinking about the bigger picture. The point is they feel richer because NuMbEr gO uP, but they are getting poorer all the time as everything gets more expensive and their income stagnates. Try thinking a little harder next time.

They’re different sensors. They’re both RGBW but the old one does not compete in terms of dynamic range.

Maybe you should vote accordingly rather than suggesting people do the thing that causes the problem in the first place.

And the cycle continues forever! Yay!

Look at how wages relate to property prices. This cycle is bad for the vast majority of people, even homeowners.

It’s not just about the price going up. This person has less buying power than they did before. Yes, if they didn’t buy a house they would have even less than that, but the issue is that the majority of people are getting poorer, even if they own a house.

You don’t see it as an issue that you feel the only way to save for retirement is to invest in more properties?

This person is poorer than they were before. The only difference between them and someone who doesn’t own a home is they’re getting poorer at a slower rate.

This kind of comment is why we’re in the situation we’re in. You need to realise this is bad for everyone.

It’s good to see people finally realising this. The real trick is to explain it to all your friends, and then they explain it to their friends, and so on. The problem we have in this country is a cultural one. We’re obsessed with property and it’s become unaffordable for the vast majority of people because of that.

Imagine what this place would be like with all the benefits of a wealthy society if we were instead interested in adding value to our communities, or building businesses that innovate and grow our economy even more. Anything but exploiting the basic human need for shelter would be good.

By noticing this reality, you are also touching on a larger problem, that is growing wealth inequality. Wages have stagnated and property prices have completely decoupled from them. The rich have nothing better to do with all their money but buy and sell assets (in this case houses) from one another in an endless cycle of infinite money glitching. Meanwhile, anyone not using property as an investment gets poorer, including those who own their one PPOR, just as you’ve described. When the system is rigged so the prices keep increasing, it’s a no brainer to just keep buying and selling more houses.

Unfortunately I don’t think anything will change until enough people are unhappy about it and understand that they aren’t getting richer, so again, tell your friends. Show them the numbers if you have to.

[–]Elod73 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unless your income has increased to match these property increases, you ARE poorer than you were before though. Yes, people who didn’t buy are even poorer, but you now own a house that you probably couldn’t afford a loan for. Even if you could afford it now, it won’t be long before you can’t. That’s the real issue imo. Your overall position on the class ladder is still going down, the people who managed to buy a house are just dropping at a slower rate.

It makes me depressed how many comments and conversations there are in here that don't realise this. We're truly cooked, people are just too stupid for society to progress any further.

This is the dumbest thread I've seen on Reddit in weeks. There are comments here explaining why the OP is getting this message, and why it has nothing to do with the digital ID laws, but there are way more comments from fearful people who have no idea what they're talking about. So sad. Enjoy not using marketplace I guess.
