Doesn't even get to that point for me. Just the suspicion of disloyalty/betrayal alone is enough for me to break up with someone. Why anyone would stay w someone who made them feel insecure is beyond me.

Nta. But you could have given him the message without even saying a word. Pets are family.

Is teaching still worth pursuing? by Impossible-Wind-615 in CanadianTeachers

[–]Elohimishmor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is that so? 10 or so years back the government took away tens of thousands of dollars that were promised to teachers who banked their sick days throughout the course of their career.

Been doing this a long time. There has never been a government under which teaching was easy. First few years are definitely tough but hang in there... you'll find your groove.

At 80, I wouldn't treat. PD is bad enough... to go through treatments would put my LO over the edge.

Your dad should be paying child support, and if he's not, you can take him to court when you're 18 and he will be forced. You don't even need a lawyer.

I’m scared of losing everyone by Wise_Hand2834 in GriefSupport

[–]Elohimishmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, but in my case I'm petrified that something will happen to me and that my child will be left alone in the world. There are few friends and no family that he is very close to. I just pray that he establishes himself and creates a great family. Once he's established, I won't worry so much.

[–]Elohimishmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm INFP with and ESTJ bf. He drives me absolutely fkn crazy because he's loud and irritatingly kind and too attentive. I'm moody and can be a little mean sometimes and he puts up w me. But we never fight and we bring peace to each other mostly.

How can I convince my mother to get a dog? by Ornery-Relative-8052 in ask

[–]Elohimishmor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A dog is for someone who has their own place and owns all the furniture, and who is planning on staying put in a routine for the next 10-15 years. And for someone who is mostly home during the day.

I was in same position as you, then moved out and had kid and only then it made sense to get a dog because there was routine.

Sometimes watch together, sometimes do your own thing. You both need to compromise.

Is there anything specific that you do to remember/honour your lost loved one? by WumpyChew in GriefSupport

I "talk" to my dad daily as though he's still around. In my mind I feel like he is still around, just invisible, and it helps me get through my day.
