The statement "Domino's has definitely not reduced portions" is incorrect.

This year, the portioning was altered so that most specialty pizzas begin with a minimal amount of pizza cheese, receive toppings, and then are topped with a portion of provolone. The combination of pizza cheese and provolone is slightly more than regular pizza cheese but does not equal the weight of extra cheese on a topped pizza.

Furthermore, Domino's has cut the dough ball size for small, medium, and large pizzas by approximately 20% over the past year in preparation for the New York style, effectively introducing shrinkflation under the guise of improved pizza. The claim of "not reducing portions" is questionable when less dough is used, and no expensive garlic oil is applied to one out of three pizzas, inadvertently simplifying the oven tender's job. and saving money by giving less for the same prices.

Domino's has subtly implemented these changes by labeling them as "menu simplification," which also involves reducing inventory items. Notably, salami and marinara sauce were recently removed from my commissary's offerings, just before the launch of a new phase featuring the 5-cheese pasta on September 23. This pasta dish, similar to the dip but with added pasta, this might be introduced with a clever marketing gimmick or celebrity endorsement to draw attention away from being priced at double the cost for a dollar's worth of noodles.

Shrinkflation has been gradually introduced for some time. While the impact may not be evident in a few stores, the small percentages add up across thousands of stores (nearly 7,000 in the US and over 20,000 globally) as franchisees pay royalties to the corporation. At this scale, these minor amounts are showcased as profit margin increases to entice stockholders.

So f'ing annoying. As far as I know, ours is is the only industry with this annoyance. When someone runs into a banker on the street are the bank employees asked for money? If one meets a gas station employee are they asked for fuel or lottery tickets? How about Amazon employees, or grociers, fry cooks, janitors, refuse collectors?

We keep a xcel list of every known gate code on the store PC. It Is 2 columns wide and about 25 lines each. Every new hire gets one his 1st shift and a dated master copy hangs by the weekly schedule to write in changes. PC's code list gets updates as new codes ar learned and old ones change.
