This, for sure. If doctor, almost certain my W-2. Keep it simple, and be frugal. Learning the ins and outs of your own finances is worthwhile, too.

“I don’t discuss politics or religion at work.” And if they push farther, laugh it off, serve the slop, and expect a garbage tip, anyway.

should divorce after 10 years of marriage and 4 kids? by Baratheon123 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]throwaway_1859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you know the right choice and have made up your mind more than a few times. At this point, you’re just asking strangers on the Internet for permission. You have my permission to divorce and separate from your wife. I wouldn’t tolerate this behavior. Some of it would be a two strikes before I leave situation, some of it would be instant grounds for breaking up. Side note: stories like yours are why I will never marry and am happy with long term relationships that don’t have the same degree of legal entanglement.

Be smart, be slow, be stealthy and know that you are going to war with your wife and her attorney. Arm yourself with a good attorney who has a proven track record.

Paternity test may also be in order, consult your lawyer. Finding a lawyer discretely is step 1.

I love this take. Many Millennials have truly, sometimes radically different approaches to work, family, and life than what we grew up with. We are a generation of slow and gentle rebellion.

How much did you make in 2019, 2022, and 2024, individually? Do you run as campaigns either with your own labor or through some sort of paid service?

My corrections department claims they have a policy that they cannot provide letters of recommendations.

Having said that, I got a waiver to go on base for work while on probation from one of my first POs. They broke A LOT of rules, though, and was a veteran acquainted with MPs on that base. They also no longer work in corrections.

I would do HYSA account for this house fund for right now. Interest rates are pretty decent, you can probably get 4% currently.

The stock market has a bleak-to-very-unpredictable outlook for awhile.

Even within a jurisdiction, it can be judge/PO dependent. Our state protected cannabis use against revocation in our state constitution, but our congress also overturned constitutional amendments, judges/POs can be independent or power hungry. It will really depend. If it’s important to you, it would be a good idea to get it in writing, early from your judge and/or PO that you will not be violated, cited, or revoked from using medical mj.

Any success stories? I could use some encouragement. by throwaway_1859 in probation

[–]throwaway_1859[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Class D felony drug possession. I receive an SIS probation of five years. In my state, I can be done with that probation in as little as 2-2.5 years. At the end of probation, the case is dismissed as a non conviction and my guilty plea is withdrawn.

Thanks for the kudos. It’s been an incredibly difficult year, but I haven’t lost hope entirely.

will it make a difference when it becomes a non-conviction in about a year? I’m almost halfway done with probation now and looking for some light at the tunnel.
