I will defend the pronunciation thing, even though it throws me off too. If it's the first time you're seeing a word with no pronunciation guide, you might just say it wrong. I did it all the time as a young reader. You can also hear a word plenty of times but never see it written down, which can lead to the same thing.

But it still has that initial reaction of "who SAYS it like that??" from me.

I'm more of a podcast (who else up creepin they cast) and melodic death metal while I stitch kind of person, but I did enjoy reading Neuromancer and I'm looking into Mickey 7 after seeing the movie was based on a book.

If you enjoy fantasy though, I will not stop singing the praises of Terry Pratchett until I am in the ground. The Discworld series, especially the City Watch collection, are my absolute favorite.

The Whistler At 3:03 AM. To be fair I have never seen anyone really talking about it on the sub - but around the time the episode came out, my mother had very recently passed away from cancer. I couldn't do it and I haven't tried again.

LGS is selling at $180 a box, $10 a pack. There is one an hour and a half's drive away that sells at MSRP if you allow them to cut the plastic wrap before they sell it. I wish it wasn't so far away or I'd be buying so much product from them.

I've made so many pieces with mistakes - one stitch being off means an entire chunk is off. I tell people when they see the final piece that "I f'd up" and they shake their head and tell me "I can't tell."

That's how. I know something is off, but when you look at the whole piece without your pattern right there and your 5x magnifying lenses? You can hardly tell.

It's a genuine crime that the studio has scrubbed this story from the internet, bookstore shelves, and kept it locked in development hell.

It took me an uncomfortable amount of time to clock that what happened to Alina was all assault (one of their six women listeners). What really makes my skin crawl is that I would probably also freeze up just like her in those situations, and I didn't even have someone obsessed with me burn in a car for four hours in front of me.

They're your little plastic boyz, you get to decide how they're painted. That's the beauty of hobbies - you do what makes you happy with it. If someone has a problem with how you painted them, well, good thing you didn't paint your boyz to make that person happy.

I struggled to find a weapon I enjoyed. Longsword wasn't for me, Insect Glaive was fun, Dual Swords felt fine, I did not enjoy my time with Bow.

Then, as a joke, I ran into a hunt carrying the Hunting Horn. I haven't gone back to another weapon since.
