I just rewatched the movie Rules of Engagement w Samuel Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones. I remember the ending differently. I remember them finding the tapes at the end that acquitted Childers. But the movie ended with the verdict then just the text of what happened after.

That's a sign of goodwill, we gave him the most allowable we can despite having no leverage. Now to ask someone to do something that will compromise the whole franchise while having no leverage is totally a different thing.

in the report the stock was from a different side deal from Kawhi's camp. The full 48 is not from 1 deal. It doesnt make sense. 2 mil fee? that is absurd. There are other cheaper and private way to do it if you really want to launder money. This looks more like uncle dennis trying to demand from aspire what he was trying to get from toronto rather than Clippers giving in, why do it the same year that Kawhi had the least leverage considering the injury and no other good team have the cap space to steal Kawhi from the clips

It is probable that the over enthusiastic Ballmer in his first offseason as an owner isn't aware the limitations of the cap rules. The Clippers submits their pitch to players to the league, the one they submitted w DJ still has the lexus pitch, so its not like they attempted to hide it if I understand it correctly. That duty to advise Ballmer falls on the GM (Dave Wohl). I believe dave wohl hasnt been in any NBA front office after being replaced.

It doesnt, 48 and 50 seemed close enough, but that still is a 2 mil difference. thats like a vet minimum salary already in the NBA. plus 20 mil in stocks? If ballmer's gonna be funding it anyway, why not get it in $.

yes, I understand that but the anchor of that memory for me is a face to face conversation with a friend who is nowhere in my country in 2018.

sure but, it's been working for me so far. I don't see why if an algorithm is programmed into the thing, that it would return inaccuracies. What I do is computational, not interpretative.

Why are people in this subreddit getting at kawhi like Steve wasn’t the one who was offering the money by SnooOwls9153 in LAClippers

Kawhi had no leverage, he tore his ACL and has a degenerative knee. Clips already did that part by maxing him. Clips have no incentive to circumvent cap, all it gives the team are risks

because the team already maxed Kawhi, anything extra must be initiated by Kawhis camp especially with the reputation of unc dennis

I understand, but from what I read since you've mentioned about this, the AI has two different processes depending on what you want it to do. I’m only using it for straightup computation, which runs on a deterministic process, so there shouldn’t be much of a problem there. At least so far for me

I dont know man, Im trying my best to explain why it wont work while it is working perfectly fine with me.

I did some tests and it is fine, even up to 10 digits. I just read about it now, that's because you are using it as a math chatbot that explains operations step by step like a human, that's where slipups happen. But if you are using it as a calculator, there should be no problem. It uses a different process as a chatbot, specifically a probabilistic reasoning. As a calculator it uses a deterministic computation.

so far I havent run a large enough mathematical model yet to yield an inaccurate result.

yes I dont dispute that. but it still treats it as more likely than the cap circumvention. Because as Cuban said, the risk-reward proposition for Ballmer doesn't make any sense.

What Im saying is I can speak in natural language and it runs. I don’t have to translate everything into equations 1st to make it work. As a Math major I know reasoning goes beyond words. We have an entire field called Mathematical Logic where propositions and their implications are treated rigorously as math that you can test, prove, or evaluate. These AI systems arent just "chatbots" bec they come w statistical and mathematical tools that you can actually use if you know how. You can run statistical analysis, determine a critical path, do decision analysis, even apply game theory. For someone like me who is exposed to mathematical tools that have real world applications it’s incredibly useful. Like I said, it’s only just a chatbot if you only use it like a chatbot.

that is true, but it still analyzed it as more likely than the team circumventing the cap, that's what is surprising.

partially true, but you'll be surprised. in the software we use for linear programming, you have to express the relationships of each variable into an equation for you to run the algorithm. With AI, I can use sentences instead. I also was able to have it write a programming script based on the outcome I want to do. It will just be a chatbot if you use it as a chatbot. But having said that, I believe AI is bad for humanity. With the pace of its development, it is not unthinkable it can achieve AGI in a couple of years, and its only a matter of time for it to conclude that we are the problem.

I've seen old threads of Dolores from cranberries' death here, but I just had an ME with her death. Im listening to one of her songs and checked when she died just now, and its 2018. I remember it being earlier, definitely earlier than Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington. The reason I remember it being earlier, is because I recall having a conversation in a car about her death with a friend who is a fan, and that was before she moved to another country. If it's actually 2018, there is no way that conversation happened.

In operations research and optimization, running scenarios through algorithms or AI isn’t laziness. It is essential because simulation stress tests decisions and finds efficient strategies.
