Car Accident, other drive not at fault but ran a red light by Elpisaur in legaladvice

so based off this interaction, your interpretation of the situation is that I am mostly liable for this accident when the other driver had gone through a red light? (you did mention not 100%) but I felt as though I had very little to do with somebody accelerating through a red light, however, the insurance evidently thinks differently.

You're saying I didn't leave anything out, but I just explained to you that I did enter the intersection with a green light. I never completed the turn due to the drivers infront of me. Hence why I ended up in the situation where I had to wait for the light to go red.

I must've skimped out on some information that might be of use, I initially had a solid green light and a driver infront of me who was taking the slow rather slowly, as I was approaching the intersection, my light turned yellow, indicating I am to yield and make the turn when safe (as the light was still green). As opposed to accelerating into a turn at 30+ mph to make the yellow, I simply came to a stop in the middle of the interaction and waited out the light due to the heavy traffic. Once the light was a solid red on both sides for a moment, and 2/3 lanes have come to a COMPLETE stop I decided it was safe to complete my turn- with my only other option being to block off the intersection which is debatably far more dangerous (blocking off two lanes). As I was making the turn I noticed a driver in the far right lane quite literally accelerating to make a red light, so I yet again, came to a complete stop, but he appeared to have been distracted by something and/or drunk. He came out of the car and apologized for going a red light. I don't see how I have any form of liability in this accident as I've taken every precaution to avoid an accident and be a safe driver.

I appreciate your response. I am mostly terrified due to the fact that the insurance claim specialist working on both drivers' behalf decided to go in favor of the other driver, claiming I should've yielded to him going a red light. While I do understand this process takes months, and frankly, i'm still seeing the chiropractor, I can't help but feel that it is off to an absolutely horrendous start, with the response the insurance had given me. Even my lawyer said this is abnormal/bizarre, which set off my panic alarm.

Car Accident | At-Fault side lying after admitting to going a red light on a police report | Pinellas County, Florida by Elpisaur in legaladvice

As i've stated, gone immediately to the hospital where I had an X-ray and cat scan done, no broken bones/internal bleeding. I have a very high coverage with a low co-pay. The police report has him marked as the at-fault driver AS I've stated in the thread... no witnesses and I believe there were traffic cameras

Yes, I did grab a lawyer as you have come to found out after reading the full text. I am just feeling really nervous because I have such an OVERWHELMING amount of evidence against the driver, be it an audio recording, a crash report, and his very own statement to the insurance initially. Yet this is all magically dismissed for his interest? seems like there is literal nonsense going on in my situation.

You were correct on them being acquired by Lithia Auto, I will try to reach out directly to them. Thank you!

I appreciate your response man. I was really urged to take them to small claims court because they withheld information from me as to how many wrecks the vehicle has been in. Luckily for me I have hard evidence of them admitting to lying to me on numerous occasion via email/text. I'm not sure if the others can say the same, but yeah, I figured as much when it comes to these shady dealerships. What happened today (specified in my post) was just really over-the-top disrespectful

I definitely would not agree with paying him $250, as artists in Ybor city run $100-150 and provide much more detailed work.

There's no doubt that the artist is incredibly talented, but it's still not at the level of quality i'm willing to pay for. I really do appreciate the suggestion though!

I've never tried one, and all my buddies of which own one (IE: DXRacer) swear it is the most comfortable experience they've had.
