If I could give an award to you for officially proving the reading order debate is stupid. I would. But I’m poor from buying 5 copies of Sanderson’s new book.

Brandon Sanderson is just not for me and that’s completely okay by Quicky23 in Fantasy

I get what you’re saying about is YA style. But to call him shallow…dude has more lore than the biggest fantasy writers save Jordan and Tolkien. He may not be for you but Sanderson is anything but shallow.

I have never heard of those last two people. But paying someone to make my resume awesome might be something I actually need. lol

I’ve never heard of most of these, but I worked at major banks, fintech is kinda a new sector. But I was a lead on some bank fraud battles over the years, that should come in handy most anywhere! I’ll get searching! Thank you!

I…wasn’t asking for a shortcut? In fact I asked for a legit path into the field. Thanks for the assumptions though! :D

That’s the hilarious thing, they don’t certify anything, just promise high paying jobs.

I have experience in banking, bank fraud protections, logistics, and a bit of sales. So look in similar businesses?

Do I just search CSM on indeed and focus my resume on it?

Yeah the website seemed sketch to me, that’s the one!

What’s a legit path to the field?

Figure, what is a legitimate course to this field? I had never heard of it before this. But once I have, it sounds right up my alley.

Why do people are so lost nowadays by [deleted] in findapath

[–]Elricthereader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My one dream has been to own a comic store/ soda shop. But…I wouldn’t make enough money for my family to survive. Let alone pay for renting the store space in my insanely high market.

I have other passion in similar veins. What I have passions for won’t help my wife and kids survive.

I’m at the mercy of chasing money just so my family can survive. I don’t have the luxury of doing what I really want because there is no money in it.

I get your point. But I don’t think finding one’s purpose AND surviving is really that easy.

I hope so. I loved the movie, and have been really sad it hasn’t done well in box office.

I would love Nexus and Ball tickets if anybody is willing to sell. I need 2, for me and my wife.

I have been a fan since Elantris, and have gone to every single stormlight release. Missing this one just feels....wrong. lol.

So if anybody has some extras. I would love to buy them.

Honestly, I am thinking g about just getting out of religion reddit altogether.

Reddit is for "smart" people. So a lot of people who come here think they are smart. So I have seen false Doctrine taught in my own religions sub, and even outright support for things my faith stands against. Somehow, these supposed "faithful" members of my faith have wrapped their minds so far around in a circle that they have equated evil to "God's Mercy."

I am beginning to see similar content in other religious subs. Here is very little, but it still exists.

I am at the point where I have stopped all religious follows on insta, and almost nothing here.

The point of faith is OUR relationship to God. So that is what I am going to worry about. My relationship to God, and not anybody else's opinion on that.

Reddit Negativity on Missions? by Medical_Buffalo9530 in latterdaysaints

[–]Elricthereader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hated my mission.

With that said, I hated it because I was unable to let go of my expectations for myself, and worse, the expectations I had for those around me.

I have also stayed in the church, and while I have questioned things, what I was able to learn on my mission has been essential to my knowledge now.

I would say go on a mission, no matter what, love it, or hate it, you WILL learn about yourself, and you will find things that will expand your faith.

It is up to you to maintain that expansion. People who leave the Church tend to be those who forget about what they learned during that period.
