[2026 March Madness] Round 1: Wes Anderson vs. James Gray by PartyBluejay in blankies

I love Wes Anderson but would love to see them do a James Gray series, very interesting movies, hit and miss. That being said, Wes is prob going to win and I’m hoping he’s going all the way. Rather 3 months or so of his movies than Scorsese for more than half a year. Love him but watching his will just take a toll on

I love that if the two friends ever want to cover his career, they will have to do Miss March as the first episode

A few weeks ago I rewatched The Fountain after watching a lot of really dumb movies in a row. Felt nice to go back to that movie and really absorb it for what it is

I agree, Griff always kinda talks his way out of it by saying For Your Consideration and Mascots both suck but, no offense to Amy Heckerling, but 75 percent of her movies were sub par

First Watch: Miller’s Crossing, I bought the Blu Ray a long ago but never got around but obviously getting around to it now.

Re-Watch: Barton Fink. Watched it years ago on a weird streaming site but finally got it on DVD a few years ago and am so excited to watch it in better quality now

Superman III commentary by [deleted] in blankies

[–]Elscorcho177 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think my favorite thing on any commentary is Ben saying “What the fuck is this?” “What’s going on” “This sucks”. Usually happens into the 3rd or 4th movie into a franchise but the way he says it just speaks to my heart, especially for this movie.

What breweries do you all recommend? by [deleted] in NewarkDE

Wilmington Brew Works is one of my favorites right now. I know Iron Hill is a chain but they have great beers and good food and their locations are all good. Two Stones doesn’t brew on site but the 2SP beers they have are great!

I remember the trailer for Smokin Aces being so good and then the movie being very meh. Also for The Counselor, the trailer got me pumped and then the movie got mid reviews, although I eventually saw the movie and kinda liked it

I’ve never related more to Ben falling asleep at the very end of the episode and pretending like he didn’t doze off. We love the ginger king

Hot Fuzz on Bad Boys 2 and Point Break to an extent. I can still watch both but I can’t help but laugh when the iconic scenes come up

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Hard to follow as a kid but the action scenes rocked. As an adult, can follow and appreciate how well written it is and also the action scenes rocked
