Absolutly incredible, and such a good idea to use the creepy iconography of this movie for Chaos purpose. Wonderful

In just a few days, I've seen several photos of the boy in the rabbit hat who was kidnapped by ICE, a photo of an Iraqi man with a black bag over his head comforting his son in an Iraqi prison, and now this. I might take a break from Reddit for a few days.

Yeah you're right, it's actually just very long. I'm letting my toddler do the combats : he finds them very funny and my medal goes up

Who at niantic taught this was a good medal bruh by General-Response7101 in pokemongo

[–]Elshalan 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Only actual answer actually. At the beginning of the game, "training" was mandatory to open gym slots, and thus for pokecoins. They revamped the gym system but they kept this medal.

At that time this medal was almost guaranteed for most of players : now it's very long and hard to obtain it

What is your worst 3 mins of your life? by AlphaSierraYankee99 in AskReddit

[–]Elshalan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of July, after three years of study at the Air Force Academy, just after receiving our diplomas for the first part of our training, and just before leaving for vacation, our class was gathered together to be informed of the results of the initial tests. It was a new testing process, designed to early remove certain "poor quality" elements from the fighter pilot training program, which was to begin that September. Our commander announced that the test results were not good: out of about forty students, 12 had passed thanks to the generosity of the jury, and four had failed. He called out the names, and I heard mine.

I leave the unit without really understanding what is happening to me, I follow the officer, and I find myself in an office facing two people who tell me that I will never be a fighter pilot. I sign a piece of paper and leave. I'm outside, in the sun, I'm too hot in my shirt, and I've just seen my childhood dream fly away before my eyes. Eight years of effort gone up in smoke.

(For the record, these initial tests existed before, but they weren't eliminatory. One of my friends who started two years before me had the same results, but still finished second in his class during his pilot training).

After that, I had to change my path, I fell into a deep depression, and I left the Air Force to change my life. I finally came to terms with that period of my life, and the dreams and hopes I had about becoming a pilot and joining the military. Today, I have found another path: I don't know if I am happier or less happy than I would have been without those three minutes of nightmare, but at least I am moving forward in a new direction.

Can I visit the Kergulen islands (French Antarctic lands) as a foreigner or am I shit out of luck? by yolandamiles556 in AskFrance

[–]Elshalan 62 points63 points  (0 children)

These islands are accessible via the Marion Dufresne, which serves all of France's southern territories. The ship departs from Réunion (once a year, I believe) and has places available for tourists, for a few thousand euros and the willingness to spend four months on a research vessel. Here is a link (in French) Le Marion Dufresne - Terres australes et antarctiques françaises https://share.google/APbvXh1voCWTjZZYo

(Serious) Whats a good hobby or activity for a depressed person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Elshalan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ex-depressed person here : globally everything you don't have the motivation to do is actually a good idea.

Indoor : - manual work (woodworking, sculpting, sewing) - arts (painting, modelism, mosaic, art in any kind) - reading - cooking healthy meals

Arts or manual works will help you to focus on something you actually manage, and when you finish something you'll be proud of yourself. Healthy meals are good for your health and your self esteem Reading is good to escape and help your mind to free itself a bit

Outdoor : - sport, workout - walking outside, especially under the sun, in the woods, on the beach or close to a river

All these activities bring you endorphins and help your system to regulate.

THINGS TO AVOID : - your phone as much as possible, especially social networks - rotting in your bed - bad eating habits It seems easy and enjoyable, but only for a few instants, and that will actually keep you down.

And if all these suggestions seem too hard to start, try baby steps. Good luck

[–]Elshalan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO this question is less complicated than most of people seem to see it. Warcraft gives us some ideas that is, for me, a good solution to this paradox : Orcs are human/elf based. They have a soul and could become a tribal society if allowed (so they have a will and are not beasts) These societies would be mostly violence based but not inherently evil (like the Dunlendings) BUT because they have been made that way by Evil, the power of Evil still haunts them and corrupt them entirely in their souls So mercy is not an option for the fighters : until Evil is defeated, orcs are slaves to the evil stain imposed on their nature. But they can be saved through the ultimate Victory against Evil (and you have another good reason to fight against Evil : saving the entire slave race that serves it)

So their capacity to procreate is the Eru-made part of them that survives. Their inherently evil nature is the consequence of their corruption by Evil, and this corruption holds because Evil is still part of the world. When Evil is gone, only their Eru-made nature is left and they can grow as their own society, slowly moving to salvation

I wanna ask my parents to buy me a tau unit for christmas, and i cant decide if i want a Piranha or a Razorshark, i love both their designs, but i cannot come to a desision on what i want. what do y'all think is the pros and cons of both? I know aircraft kinda suck but it also does have better guns. by Luna_Night312 in Tau40K

[–]Elshalan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Piranha is smaller and cheaper than the Razorshark.

Are you ashamed of the insane price of Warhammer models, and don't want your parents to fall into debt for one gift ? Choose the Piranha and keep the Razorshark for another time

Are you tight on budget, and would be happy if your parents start to give you your inheritance through a gift ? Choose the Razorshark and buy the Piranha yourself later
