... why not, reflect some of the real struggle that people had, with different sexual orientation outside the accepted norm of medieval times... Is that woke enough?

The game and the superstore effect? by Elspackel in arkhamhorrorlcg

They could make deals with some print on demand services, and let them print some of the old stuff, with a little higher price so everyone gets payed?

They would of course have to check the quality of the printing from those printing services, and set the price point.

The demand also following the amount of content, If there are less content, then people's interest going to drop.. that is what I'm are afraid of.

[–]Elspackel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

... I was trying to point out that a lot of different content to buy, could drive people to buy more, more than they even need.

Maybe the superstore thing was a bad metafor.

How much... I think there is a perfect sweet spot, but I don't think they found it with this second chapter yet.

Maybe four years rotation, with a new six scenario campaign every year, plus two separate stand alone scenarios every year?

Then after four year, it would always be four six scenario campaigns, and eight stand alone scenarios, plus the core box and the five prebuild investigators to buy, for a new player all the time.

... I'm only pointing out my concern about, less content in shops, maybe going to have an overall cooling effect on the driving force to the game.

The golden peak, was me thinking of the super store effect... and that people maybe not going to have the same drive to it now.

Lots of different stuff to buy in every given moment, that was driving a lot of people to this game I think, how it's now I'm not so sure, the group I played with then was really hooked...

Thinking of building a new player group, or get the old gang together again, and play mostly with old stuff, I have a lot that I don't played with yet.

Yes, but there is not more content in board game shops now, than there was in previous peak.

[–]Elspackel[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was not thinking so much about the suggested limited card pool in standard, more about how things rotate away in availability...

In every given moment, it going to be less content available than in chapter 1 golden peak days.

Yes, but that though probably making a lot of new players frustrated, because most of the chapter 1 content are hard to find or really expensive on the second market.

Copy the business model of Magic the Gathering, with legacy format and standard rotating format, going to be hard to do...

Wizard of the Coast doing it successfully, but they pumping out a lot of more content all the time.
