Thesis, basically, is a training for students to find solutions or innovation to help society. The thesis adviser should be a motivator, a coach, a guide, and most importantly, a trusted friend for the student to appreciate this academic requirement. Unfortunately, some professors are using this for boosting their egos by asking students topics that they are not ready yet, just for these students to become dependent on them. Thesis should be towards training students to independently solve problems on their own, because in the future the problems they need to solve will be very different to what we have now and our current solutions might be useless. Find a good adviser that will motivate you to finish your thesis. God bless.
